Society's focus on our bodies as objects that can be modified and changed to whatever we desire.

Last week's walk in reverse direction. Only this photo as it started to rain pretty hard and you could barely see the Cathedral.
This stuff is bad in Portland because it has infested many of our urban forests, but it sure is pretty like this!
I went for a walk in Bush Pasture Park and took some pictures with my IPhone.

A walk in the Amerongse Bos.
Het Amerongse Bos is één van de oudste bossen op de Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Dat is op zichzelf niet zo bijzonder omdat de meeste bossen op de Heuvelrug pas ongeveer honderd jaar oud zijn. Het Amerongse Bos steekt hier echter met kop en schouders bovenuit: sommige grove dennen dateren uit 1770. Het bos dankt zijn leeftijd aan de kasteelheren van het in de Amerongse Bovenpolder gelegen kasteel Amerongen. Zij lieten het bos aanleggen om er te kunnen jagen. Naast zijn ouderdom heeft het Amerongse Bos nóg een bijzonderheid. Het bos ligt namelijk op de 69 meter hoge Amerongse Berg, het hoogste punt van de Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
This was taken not too far from my place. Not much else to say aside from the fact that I couldn't decide whether I like this version, or the sepia version... so, I put them both up.
