The dress is two layers. The top layer is chiffon and backing and is made to the pattern no changes. I used the gathered bodice.
The green over dress is a Sateen I used the same pattern but used the plain bodice and cut down from the shoulders for the front and joined the back. The front skirt is cut down the center folded in half so no seam is required at the front. it also fits the new bodice shape without gathers. The back skirt is cut on the fold and instead of gathering a box pleat gives a simple flow to the back.
The pattern used was Requiem pattern:

A walk in Central Park on 11.01.14 from The Pond up to The Reservoir. It was a cloudy and windy day with light rain all throughout but the leaves were starting to burst into colors, I think leaf turning this year is about a week late from last year. It was also the day before the New York marathon and you can see it in some parts of the park. The trees look so pretty with the different leaf colors, and the rain added to the charms of the day.
