View to Manhattan Bridge, East River and Manhattan.
DAMBO is decoded as Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass though the name now incorporates the whole area next to Brooklyn Bridge too. In the past, it was a busy port neighborhood in Brooklyn. Since then, many warehouses have been converted to offices or residential buildings.
Have a nice weekend!!

I took a walk in some local woodland the other day, and as I was looking at these golden reflections in the little meandering burn, I heard geese approaching. They flew directly overhead ..... there must have been about 7 or 8 hundred of them. I managed to get a shot of them as they filled the sky. When I looked at the images later on, I decided to to try to blend the geese with the blue, sky-reflected water images I'd taken, to hopefully give an impression of my day.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but he who makes his ways crooked swill be found out.

A brisk walk in one our local parks. I needed to clear my brain fog due to the excesses of the previous evening. Beer, wine and fizz followed by a nightcap of Honey JD.
No wonder my head felt like it had a small cannon going off every minute or so, coupled with tinnitus and dog breath.
The Pen F and Zuiko 75mm … not much to do in post, just crop and add vanity signature
The hottest day this year and we decided on a walk in the woods to keep cool. Lovely light coming through where the trees are in new leaf.
*Spaziergang im Herbstwald*
Das war früher einmal ein Stück geteerte Kreisstrasse, heute Wald- und Wanderweg vom Feinsten, besonders im Herbst.
This was once a piece of county road, today it is the finest forest and hiking trail, especially in autumn.

One of many spectacular views along the Leigh Lake trail in Grand Teton National Park....we started out at String Lake (also a beautiful location), hiked to Leigh and then on to Bearpaw Lake. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area and have the time (approximately 10 miles round trip).
As hot as it's been the last couple of days around here, I would love to dip my toes in that mountain lake water :-) Have a great Tuesday, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments!!!!!
This is what Peter said this morning when I asked him how he was - he referred to yesterday's chemo as 'A walk in the park'!!
Si decide in fretta di essere amici, ma l’amicizia è un frutto che matura lentamente.
You decide in a hurry to be friends, but friendship is a fruit that ripens slowly.
(Aristotele)
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
