Sotto la prima pioggia di Venezia, ho percorso la fondamenta delle Zattere fino a Punta Della Dogana. E da lì, l'Abbazia di San Giorgio Maggiore sembra davvero galleggiare leggera.

There are few things finer, than a walk among the trees on an Autumn day. 🍂🍁

One of my favorite places for winter photography in the South Chagrin Reservation, part of the Cleveland Metroparks in Ohio.
A lovely walk in Dunham's North Park yesterday. This was after meeting the Guide Dog gang who meet every Tuesday. A fabulous group of puppy walkers, with retired, working and trainee dogs. They have invited Red and I to join them each week. An inspiring group, so much so I came home and sponsored a Guide Dog pup called Nico and look forward to following his progress. Red in the meantime has made a whole host of new friends and even shared his beloved tennis ball with his chums, it must be love!!!!!
before christmas, we made a walk through the vineyards to Schloss Johannisberg, part of Geisenheim/Rhine. the abbey was founded in 1106, the church desztroyed in WWII, reminded me of the situation in Ukraine... Johannisberg castle had famous owners: Nassau-Oranien and Metternich (until 2006) were the most prominent ones. The Riesling from Johannisberg is a famous and delicious wine.
☀ C'è stato un momento in cui il sole mi ha mostrato la Venezia calda, colorata, con i verdi e gli azzurri che hanno cominciato a mescolarsi

Walking onto Black Rock Sands Beach at Morfa Bychan, Gwynedd, North Wales, on a late afternoon walk in January.
The sandy walkway has marram grasses both sides and goes straight onto the beautiful sandy beach.
Perfect beach very very clean, ideal for the stunning scenery and a fantastic walk.
Saturday afternoon and what better than taking nice walk in the warm sunshine through this lovely area, which brings back so many wonderful memories!

The balsam are apparently very resilient plants. Last weeks snowstorm may have made them sad but they seem happy now.
Can we wish, if it were possible, to walk in a path strewed with flowers when His was strewed with thorns? - John Newton
Was a nice day and decided to head out for a late afternoon walk in the woods of Dixie Valley, CA with hopes of getting some nice long stick type shadow shots, this was the best found but the walk was enjoyed. There are no trails in this area so one just picks a point and walks, I carry a hand GPS with tracking and point location capability, just follow the track or set the point at the car and when heading back bring up that point and it will lead you back, also carry a compass as it is easy to get turned around as you go over the hills and loose site of where you had come from (GPS’s have been known to stop working in deep woods). While the shadows are good for direction if you keep track of them as you walk, when the sun gets low or clouds come in the shadows go away, so not a good idea to rely on them.
