Today's walk was sunny if breezy and the butterflies and bumblebees were out in force
Peacock on Willow
This young masked lapwing was one of two lapwing chicks that I posted two months ago and I am pleased to report, they are both doing extra well. Life in our retirement village is just a walk in the park for them!
The Four Waterfalls Trail, Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, UK
Poor weather prevented me from getting any shots last weekend, despite a three hour walk in 45mph winds. So this is one from my archive. I took this early on in my photography journey. Not a shot I'm super proud of but I do like a gnarly old tree and a bit of moss :))
Believe it or not it was a blue sky sunny weekday. I had just taken my mom to her doctor's appointment and I asked her if she wanted to take a drive around the lake. She eagerly said yes. It was a special moment to drive her around and see the Autumn colors on display but I came away with this one as one of my favorites. I stopped to see a white cloud behind the top of this tree. When I got home, I changed it to a monochrome image and reduced the clarity and sharpening slider into the negative to get this image.
Walking the 7 km long Aphrodite Trail in Akamas Penisula was not an easy task. We climbed from sea level up to 350m hill top and down to sea level from the other side. Every step we took we were faced with amazing beauty. Millions of wild flowers around us and superb views.
Nothing quiets my soul, removes the fears, frustrations and concerns of life like a walk in the woods.
The ground cover colors amaze me as much as the trees.
