After some less than interesting shots, I stumble upon the idea of using the macro mode and focus on things near. This is one of the only ways that you can get a digital point and shoot to have any depth of field. Basically, the closer you approach a pinhole camera, the greater your depth of field. The small lenses of point and shoots are like this and thus have great depth of field, and preventing apertures like the gaping F1.4 maw of my Nikon 50mm, it's narrow depth of field, and it's fantastic bokeh.
The most interesting shots of the the day, ultimately, consisted of turning the macro on, and placing the camera directly on the ground, or in this aquatic case, close to it. It's a testament to the tenacity of life that on this frozen day in this frozen winter life continues to sprout and persist wherever it can.

There are tons of buttons, glimmer mist, and some really fun techniques to make this book special. I used Cosmo Cricket's Ever After paper line, lots of Quickutz flowers, and some Prima fibers and flowers to decorate the book. Each page contains quotes and poems all about children and gardens--perfect for a Mother's Day gift for mom or grandma (or even your daughter if she has lots of little ones).
Walked the dogs in the park and they are resting in the car while I shoot a couple of scenes of our walk in the park. Dogs and cameras can be too much to handle.
McDonnell Park
This the first part of a new series of photos I call "Walk in the park". The images are candid photos of people of all walks of life. Most will be taken in and around downtown San Diego and parks like Balboa.

Nicosia is the capital and largest city on the island of Cyprus, as well as its main business centre. It is located near the centre of the Mesaoria plain, on the banks of the River Pedieos.
The capital of the Republic of Cyprus is also its cultural heartbeat.
There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.
We are making photographs to understand what our lives mean to us.
The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.
The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.
I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them.
