Nice walk in the woods at Marbury today. The smell of wild garlic was quite overpowering! Hazel took this one.
Out and about trying out my new lens , a Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS on the Sony a7Riv .
Up till now , I'm very happy with the results , but getting the camera AF settings and so on set up right for the best results is a bit of a learning curve .
Took a walk in the woods with my crystal ball. Trying some different compositions. I've noticed the crystal ball compositions I like most have some decent foreground in them.
I took a walk on one of those days where you feel awash in fresh breezes, cool sunshine and wonderful blue skies. This is what came out when I was trying to capture the sun dancing through the trees.
After two very cold nights I enjoyed the warm sun today at noon. Wandered through the park in Bad Sachsa - a small town in the Harz mountains.
While framing and focusing on a tree with backlit leaves, the out of focus image better represented the feel of the scene, than the in focus view.
One of two lunchtime shots from recently - where a walk in the woods helps you to forget about work!
" She Walks in Beauty " was created for the February 2011, Roses on my Table , group ...#4/6
" She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies,
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair's the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o're her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smile that wins, the tints that glow,
Bit tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent !

Extreme lower end of the walking/skiing trail in Big Hill Park. This is where you begin a long, long slog of an uphill climb. After this the trail gets really wild.
