Framed by the beautiful colonial chapel of Tomarapi, the cloud wreathed Sajama volcano rises to 21,463 feet/ 6542 m, the highest point in Bolivia and a major peak of the western wall of the Andes. The village of Tomarapi at 14,000' / 4300 m provides an excellent base for short trips into the surrounding Sajama National Park, rich in unique biodiversity including the Queñoa De Altura trees (Polylepis tarapacana) that grow on the slopes of Sajama, vicuñas (a camelid animal related to the domesticated llama), and rheas (flightless birds). The human cultural history is also important, with Inca ruins on the slopes of the Sajama, numerous chullpas (structures housing the mummified bodies of the noble persons of the Ayamara culture, thought to have contributed to the "dia de los muertos" tradition of Latin America), and the chapel shown here which dates as far back to the 17th century, renovated in 2010 with support from the U.S. embassy in Bolivia. The climatic history of the tropical Andes was reconstructed using ice cores collected from glaciers on the summit of Sajama by Lonnie Thompson of the Ohio State University.

在夏日池畔，晨光像一層溫柔的薄霧，微風拂過蓮花隨風搖曳，蜜蜂則在這場光影舞蹈中忙碌地飛舞，品嚐著甘甜的蜜露，此時透過 Helios-44-2 58mm f2 這顆擁有獨特焦外渦旋散景的蘇聯老鏡，描繪出此幅 "蜂忙" 影像裡，畫面居中的蓮花正被柔和的光線包裹著，晨光閃爍化為渾圓旋轉的夢幻斑斕，使畫面擁有近似印象派油畫的層次感，讓光影彷彿隨著蜜蜂的忙碌穿梭，曼妙地在池畔輕舞形成一幕流動的攝影語境。
--- 這幅影像的最大特點在於「動靜交融」的敘述手法，蓮花的寧靜與蜜蜂的動感形成對比，渦旋的背景光點賦予獨特的流動感，讓畫面不再只是單純的景物記錄，恰似光影的一場舞蹈，使蓮花彷彿置身於一個旋轉的時空之中。
--- 畫面中的光線流動，如莫內的《日出·印象》表現形式般使影像充滿自然的動感，晨光輕柔地渲染出蓮花的身形，使畫面擁有一種夢幻的朦朧感。
--- 蜜蜂在影像中扮演著視覺引導的角色，它吸引觀者的目光，使視線在畫面中流動，如果少了蜜蜂入鏡，畫面的敘事性可能會顯得較為靜止，僅只能透過更明確的光影對比、焦外光點散景來彌補這種「動態張力的減弱」，蜜蜂此刻真的忙出了它的關鍵價值。
突然想起日本俳句的短暫凝視：「荷葉微搖曳，晨光映水流，時光無聲息。」當風輕拂過池畔，影像低語著光的移動，而我的心，也隨之無聲無息的輕微震盪，這是攝影最動人的時刻，它不僅記錄視覺，世界不會靜止，它在微風裡低語，在晨光中呢喃，在影像裡反覆沉思。

Oct 2015, by XPan II, 90/4. Located in the north of Xinjiang Province, Hemu Village is one of the three villages in Burqin. It is the biggest and farest village of the remaining 3 Tuvans Village. Hemu Village is the gathering of Tuvans.
It covers an area of 3,040 square kilometers. All the houses here are built up with wood. The village is mostly famous for its amazing scenery in autumn when the village is blazoned with autumnal color.

I had posted a similar view a few years back with more rock in the foreground, and I've since decided that the rock detracts from the real focus of the image, which is the beautiful fall colors surrounding the mill. Feel free to look at the Colorado set and voice your opinions.

Omnizorg in Apeldoorn (NL) is a very nice complex for me as an admirer of façades. The building's destination is a shelter for the homeless, drug addicts and people with psychiatric disorders. In spite of this noble, yet challenging function, the façade expresses a bright and structured playfulness through the colourful window shutters in many different positions in combination with the reflective / glazed surface of the bricks.

It was a little creepy when the blind eyes appeared in the light of the flashlight in this dark room.
The Speicherstadt (German pronunciation: [ˈʃpaɪ̯çɐˌʃtat], literally: 'City of Warehouses', meaning warehouse district) in Hamburg, Germany is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, oak logs, in this particular case. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927.
The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. As of 2009, both the district and the surrounding area are under redevelopment. As the first site in Hamburg, it was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015.

Named the “City of Fountains,” Kansas City claims to have more working fountains than anywhere else in the world. Among its 200 registered wellheads, the J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain stands out for its four horsemen statues, said to represent the four mighty rivers of the world: the Mississippi, the Volga, the Seine, and the Rhine. The figures were sculpted by Henri Greber in 1910 for the mansion of Clarence Mackay on Long Island, New York, but were brought to Kansas City by the Nichols family in 1951 and refurbished for the fountain, which officially opened in 1960.

This morning's sunrise was through thick smoke from several large wild fires in Colorado. My local hawk was kind enough to fly across sun for this great photo op.
Taken with Nikon P950 in video mode, equivalent 1000m focal length, frames stacked and darkened in Photoshop. This whole event lasted about 1 second. No filter was used.
Side note: It was exactly 3 years ago that a total solar eclipse cross this country. On 8 April 2024, the next one will occur from Texas to Maine.

En el casco antiguo de Vigo, también conocido como Casco Vello, abunda la arquitectura de la época renacentista. Destaca la concatedral de Santa María, del siglo XIX, decorada con multitud de frescos. Al subir por los escalones de piedra de la calle Baixada O Forte, se llega hasta unos jardines y un mirador que da al puerto. Calles adoquinadas confluyen en la Plaza de la Constitución, cuyo señorial pórtico cobija tiendas de artesanos. En las tabernas al aire libre se sirven platos típicos, como pulpo a la gallega.
