First West Yorkshire B7RLE 69219 MX56AEJ began life with First Greater Manchester, before a long spell in Cornwall on the trunk 14/18 routes through the county (punctuated by a spell in Plymouth). It was displaced to Somerset for a short stint before appearing in West Yorkshire but it had made it back into Greater Manchester when seen at Rochdale Interchange on December 7th 2019.
A pedestrian waits while the engineer of a w/b SFe freight eases his train across Colorado Blvd in downtown Pasadena, CA. This March 27, 1972 view shows just how close the Second District tracks were to some of the buildings. Of course this is no more. I never was able to catch any of the big freights at this location, just lousy timing.
Quick picture of my new lady, Iplehouse Isabel! I was one of the first 10 people to order her so she came with the gift eyes, which are perfect for her. So far she's told me her name is Gala Nightingale. I'm in love!
Update: it seems the character has changed, it won't be Gala, she likes the names Eva, Emma, Ava and even Isabel. We'll see
Not sure where this was taken, perhaps Heathrow Airport?
However an interesting variety of vehicles feature; a 1966 BOAC Leyland Atlantean, Ford Transit with trailer, London Taxi (Austin FX4), and a Roller.
LYF 304D was new in 1966, but was on the road as late as 1993, spending the last years of its life as a play bus.

Thank you for your comments, favs and views...:)
My first shot of the welcome swallow. I always struggled with capturing this fast acrobatic bird. Fortunately, this guy was sitting on the post at the ferry terminal.
The entrance to an art installation that closed down Virginia St. in downtown Reno a few weeks ago featured these cool metallic spheres.

Not quite on my game this morning, late out of the house, I saw the start of a decent sunrise and grabbed this from a nearby hill just in time to welcome the first fall morning. It's here the best season of all.
we have just had a real good thunderstorm, lots of rain and it has cleared the air...and given opportunity to capture these roses in my garden :)
Ok so as most of you know (those who have been my Flickr friends for a few years now) Chris (a.k.a. Kookanoid) is one of my best buds. Two years ago we started a "Traveling Blythe" group where we'd send one of our girls out in exchange for the other one's girl. I got her lovely and unique Blythe Prudey and she got my TG Bethany and MRB Jacqueline (you can see pics of their visits on both my stream and Chris's). Well- let me just say, when I opened Prudey from her carefully packed box- one look is all it took! She's amazing! This awesome personality comes through and she really is the cutest Blythe ever. I had such a great week with her- took her EVERYWHERE with me and my whole family got into it and we had a blast. It ended up that Chris herself came to visit us soon after. Of course she brought Prudey. Each time Prudey left, I was so sad to see her go.
Then, as many of you know, I lost my brother Kristopher in Nov. 2009 and went away from my Blythe hobby for almost a year since I was just in a bad state. No need to say more. Anyway- apparently during that time, Chris was commissioned to make "Maudy" a cousin to Prudey who would look very similar to her- like twins- for another Blythe mom who admired Prudey so much. Well, she did and Maudy was born here in the US and on her way off to the UK.
Maudy traveled to a new mom not too long after where she got a makeover but she didn't really look like Prudey anymore. Her new mom decided to put Maudy up for adoption again so Maudy could continue to spread her love all over the world! In an ironic twist of fate- Maudy ended up back into Chris's arms for one final makeover (bringing her back to her original state- once again looking as much like her twin Prudey as possible) and once Chris is done with her- she will be traveling home for the LAST time- into MY arms with me and my 20 girls! I am so excited I can hardly type this. For years I have admired and loved Prudey! It feels amazing to know I will finally be able to have a little bit of Prudey and Chris in my life with dear Maudey.
Notice I changed her name from "Maudy" to "Maudey". I feel like since she's been all over the world with- hmmmm, let me see, 4 mommies now? and a bunch of makeovers- it's fitting for me to makeover her name a bit to reflect the "Prudey" influence and inspiration inside her.
So please, won't you all help me welcome "Maudey" my wonderful and original Kookanoid custom! This pic above is from her arrival today at Chris's house. As soon as she'd redone, we'll post more pics. I just can't wait to get her home and give her a kiss on the top of her sweet little head!
It's about time you got here. My soul always feels a little more alive in the summertime.
It's June 1, which also happens to be day 200!
I was just walking past the pier when I saw these holiday makers and stopped to ask if I could take their photo. I struggled with understanding their accents and they struggled with mine. I couldn't even understand their names and in the end they spelt them out for me. They were Phyllis and Glenys, but I did understand when they said they came from Cheadle in Stoke on Trent. With their happy faces, ice cream cones and the background I could envisage a pretty perfect holiday frame. ,,,,, Thank you Ladies.
Leeds outdoor market. Hard to fit in. Will try with proper camera walking sideways and stitching images later.
I am not a great baker, this icing was supposed to be pink, but turned out a weird salmon coral shade, tastes ok though!
While he was waiting for his son to arrive after a year in Iraq, this Dad was surveying all of the fanfare and the crowds. He said, "When I came home from Vietnam, we sure weren't welcomed like this. This is the way it should be."
