Thornton was a magnet as most of the remaining steam action in Fife was shedded there. A short visit on Monday, 5/9/66 captured WD 90020 running light engine near the Shed.
Armstrong Whitworth new to the LMS.
Taken during the war into army ownership it ended up at Hams Hall Power Station Birmingham , Named Royal Engineer and little used.
Modelled as it was there in the Mid 60`s

WD 90423 is in charge of a freight train near Warrington on 20 April 1962. Allocated to Widnes in July 1959, it remained there until March 1963 when it was transferred to Wigan (Springs Branch). It moved to Colwick in September 1964 from where it was withdrawn in December 1965.

Away from my Fife area for some reason I was to the south west where I came across Greenhill Station.
Only a WD (90386) with brake van came through however. 7/9/66.
