A 2' gauge Simplex engine of the type that would have been used in the First World War to supply the trenches with ammunition, supplies etc.
This example was built in 1954 (Wks No 9976) by the Motor Rail & Tram Car Company of Bedford.
On display in the roundhouse at Statfold Barn - and shown how it might have looked during the 1914/1918 conflict.
After about four years of hard graft, and lots of blood, sweat & swearing, Gunpowder Van WD 105761 is almost there - there's ony a few things left to do.

June 6, 2019. I was looking at this one tonight, after seeing all the 75th Anniversary ceremonies in France. It's a 1944 model, but likely made too late to have participated in the landings.
Wakefield WD 90076 has arrived at Goole Station with 1X50 LCGB Crab Commemorative Tour on Saturday 8 October 1966. It had brought the train from Wakefield where it had replaced 42942. The Crab then took the train back from Goole to Liverpool.
Hunslet 0-6-0ST out of use at Onllwyn, Glamorgan in early 1970s. It carried its original W.D. number throughout its industrial career in Northumberland and later south Wales. It survived into preservation and now carries the fictional B.R. number 68081 on the Ne Valley Railway.
