I create my Visual Confections line of chandeliers, candelabra, and sconces from a range of materials including vintage and found objects, faux candy, artificial flowers, glass and plastic beads, and my personal collection of miniatures. From these I construct elaborate ecosystems that embody happiness and shimmer with color and life. A metal framework is decorated in a series of interwoven neighborhoods of clustered forms, with tiny animals prowling around the joyful sprays of beads and flowers.
From a distance, the piece could be a glimmering planet or magical formation discovered on a walk. Draw closer, and discover how communities of objects flow into each other, presenting new aspects and interactions from every angle. Become calm and focussed by this observation, from the full realm down to the smallest bauble.
The chandelier can hang from your ceiling or any overhead element capable of bearing 5 lbs or more; the candelabra is designed to rest on a surface. Colorful, twinkling LED lights illuminate each piece; with or without the lights activated, your Visual Confection will enhance your space with a vibrant palette covering the whole spectrum.
My working methods express the calmness and joy that comes from the contemplative act of arranging objects. Rather than being sorted into strict categories and taxonomies, the tiny materials enjoy the freedom of intuitively ordered worlds. The resulting decorative environments, with names drawn from the writings of composer Erik Satie, are designed to be experienced both close-up and at a distance.

Y volvemos a algo más básico. Cabe decir que las láminas no están ordenadas acorde con la dificultad. Simplemente las numero acorde con el orden en el que las dibujé. Habrá veces en que os encontraréis com cosas más básicas que las que ya habÃa posteado.

A pouch to hold ephemera: words meant to be thrown out. I'm doing the Strathmore Visual Journal workshops and having a lot of fun with them!

I like to have a visual aid next to the panel explaining what I am working on that is in the window of the lab for visitors to read.
With the Styracosaurus, I found a nice line drawing of the skull. Since I have more than just the skull of the Euoplcephalus, I went to the gift shop and bought a little 99 cent model.
As you can see, things get a little dusty at work.
Una lámina para un nivel A2 más o menos. Esta vez la hice directamente a rotring, es por eso que el dibujo está menos cuidado. Los fallos no los pude rectificar. No es una lámina exclusivamente visual como muchas de las anteriores pero me pareció una manera interesante de facilitar los apuntes a mis grupos de adultos y adolescentes dándoselos un poco adornados... No es en absoluto la entrega que más éxito ha tenido, aunque creo que es de las más útiles...

Objetivo do trabalho:
Fazer um trabalho 20x20 cm com o texto passado pelo professor, onde deveria seguir uma hierarquia sem alterar a ordem do texto e não usar outra tipográfia, somente a familia escolhida.
Também não podia ter outra cor de fundo, nem outros elementos.
Tipográfia escolhida foi a Helvetica.
