Paro airport is in the top 10 of the most dangerous airports to land at, some say it is the number one due to it’s location and the length of the runway. Only 8 to 25 pilots are qualified to land on this airstrip and all flights are restricted to daylight hours and only with good visual conditions. The runway is surrounded by 18,000 ft peaks and lies at an altitude of 7,300 ft with a landing strip of only 6,500 ft which does not give much of a margin of error for the landing of the Airbus A319 S.
There is no automatic pilot systems for landing at this airport so it is all down to the skills of the pilot. You do have some fantastic views of Everest though so it is all worth it.

As we express ourselves through gesture, movement and body language, so do all living things, including plants.
I cut a small branch of ivy to put in a vase to illustrate how the graceful movements suggest body language. I notice how the tiny new branches take directions of their own away from the main stem and how each leaf has its own personal expression. When I observe the movement of the branch, I enter into communication with the way it expresses itself. It's as if I can feel a movement and sway.
I'd like to share this panorama today to try and have a small break from some haunting images of Syrian refugees that I cannot get out of my head. The sunrise in this little village of Jamnik, Slovenia was mesmeraising and I hope it can provide a little rest to your thoughts.

Jökulsárlón is a visual dream if you like landscapes or even if you don't....:) The sunset was extremely spectacular that evening and although the wind was too fierce for cool sunset reflection shots, it was still a real nice photographic moment...
Namibia feels like a place made for dreaming with a camera in hand. Its endless dunes, like seas of sand that change color with every ray of sunlight, invite you to lose yourself in light and shadow as if painted by an invisible artist. A lone tree or the silhouette of an oryx on the horizon becomes an unforgettable scene, able to convey both the strength and serenity of the desert at once.
The magic of Namibia lies in its light: soft and gentle at sunrise, intense and golden at sunset. It’s a light that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, gifting photographers with unrepeatable moments. Every corner of the country is a natural canvas where nature expresses both its grandeur and its simplicity.
Beyond the desert, there are landscapes that feel otherworldly: wild coastlines where the ocean crashes into the sand, canyons that tell stories millions of years old, and night skies so clear they seem to open into infinity. Namibia is not just a destination—it’s a visual and emotional experience that leaves a lasting mark, a place where every photograph becomes an eternal memory.

I convey my poetry visually because I'm so poor at in a written form. This was sunset from week ago which was truly epic. More to come from this outing.
As I told you before and in the last post , I do everyday one little illustration . Here you can see the starlings I saw today in front of my window, some flowers and that yellow girl is my vision of Amanda Gorman, the United States' first-ever youth poet laureate. She recited a powerful poem at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Here are some of her words.:
"When day comes we step out of the shade,
aflame and unafraid,
the new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we're brave enough to see it.
If only we're brave enough to be it."
