A classic car show i did--- Beautiful car plus i liked the colors and reflections by the sunset. I simply put the car to a simulated film effect on Exposure 2. Camera was an Olympus E500. The name comes from the sky's reflection on the car-- reminded me of the movie.
this was taken the day before the typhoon hit tokyo. we had signed up for the mt fuji tour weeks before and couldn't cancel. it rained throughout the tour. quite a damper, but provided a different sort of visual instead. we took shelter in narukawa art museum by lake ashi. on a clear day, you can see mt fuji behind the hills.

As we express ourselves through gesture, movement and body language, so do all living things, including plants.
I cut a small branch of ivy to put in a vase to illustrate how the graceful movements suggest body language. I notice how the tiny new branches take directions of their own away from the main stem and how each leaf has its own personal expression. When I observe the movement of the branch, I enter into communication with the way it expresses itself. It's as if I can feel a movement and sway.

A nearlyunbroken carpet of colorful autumn trees in New Hampshire.
As I have shared New England fall color photographs you may nave noticed that I often contrast that spectacle with my more familiar western aspen groves. One of the main reasons I made this photograph was practical — I wanted to illustrate just how significant that difference is. Aspens in California tend to cluster in relatively small and separate groves. Even the larger ones are typically surrounded by conifers, scrub, or rocky terrain. In autumn, the effect is often to produce star areas of color set off against areas with little or no fall color.
This photograph shows the difference. I made it near a high point on New Hampshire’s “Kancamagus Scenic Byway, ” among the most popular places for viewing the East Coast autumn color. You are looking down at a hardwood forest full of different trees with different colors. And the trees shown here are a tiny fraction of the forest that was spread out before me, rising from valleys toward the high ridges — with almost everywhere the same wild blanket of colors.

As anybody who knows my photography will know I've been photographing the abandoned, derelict Black Rock site for quite a few years and it became my main genre during lockdown.
We were told work was due to begin on 9th January on an access road going across the area so I thought I'd get some time this weekend to capture anything I've missed. Instead the work has begun, the rubbish cleared and the land levelled, ready for work to begin on Monday.
As I told you before and in the last post , I do everyday one little illustration . Here you can see the starlings I saw today in front of my window, some flowers and that yellow girl is my vision of Amanda Gorman, the United States' first-ever youth poet laureate. She recited a powerful poem at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Here are some of her words.:
"When day comes we step out of the shade,
aflame and unafraid,
the new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we're brave enough to see it.
If only we're brave enough to be it."
I love that message of hope.
