This is a assemblage I created with canvas that I stencils and over-stamped. I made it for a journal cover, but i decided to turn it into a hanging instead. I printed a photo transfer onto a rust dyed muslin square and sewed that onto the canvas. I added vintage buttons on to the corners. I then hung the work on an aspen bough with netting strips.
Doddle of the day. 8 by ten on journal paper. I used charcoal pencil, Sharpie pens and acrylic paints. I might like to a do a big painting of this!

The above picture represents what I often feel like when I'm trying to figure something out in my head. Especially when I'm having a hard time making sense of it. My mind spins round and round, churning out novel perspectives on how to make sense of a puzzling result. In sum, this picture illustrates for me that some things in life are a part of you no matter what road you take.
