The starkness here brings to mind the landscapes of Roman Polanski's Macbeth.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (Psalm 90:10)

-7˚C is not that cold but it is cold enough.
A day for staying home, drinking tea and drawing.
I live and work in a city. All of my pictures are city scapes of sorts. I am not one of those outdoor types, drifting from glacier to forest. I drift from muesum to a cafe, often by bus when it is really cold or by dutch city bike in the warmer months.
When I do venture outdoors in the winter, oh my, it is so worth it. I love the purple cast of the street lights on the low clouds. Moments before this cloud cast was blue.
15.55 on a very cold afternoon in January. My batteries are blinking and my hands are cold, "Just one more picture" then a coffee and a slice of cake in the Orangery Cafe.
Thank you Berlin
On July 1st, I installed my recently completed commission piece depicting the Hawthorn Mall redevelopment! You can see the full diorama for yourself on the second-level in the Transformation Suite at the mall in Vernon Hills, IL.

"But who can remember pain, once it's over? All that remains of it is a shadow, not in the mind even, in the flesh. Pain marks you, but too deep to see. Out of sight, out of mind." Margaret Atwood

Between December 16, 2012 and January 3, 2013, I met some of the most beautiful people in the Philippines. This series documents their stories. The title "Bukas Na Kami" is a play on words in the Pilipino language. It could either mean "We are open" or "Tomorrow it's us." I'll let the viewers decide which translation they like.
Message me if you are interested in the book. Thanks.

In Buddhism, the white prayer flag symbolises air and wind - two of several other elements which in balance together lead to harmony.
A candid of my brother's hands with the A7S.
This shot might reflect how he; now in Class 10, probably feels. What approach are a wall of tuitions, a tsunami of extra classes and mounting academic pressure...it is certainly a distinct time if that's the least I can say about it.
There is a double meaning in the title - this shot was taken at the restaurant (dhaba) El Dorado enroute Kaziranga, just beyond the Kolia Bhomora bridge. The other meaning shouldn't be to too tough to understand. For anyone else, the titular paradise is what a lot of us expect to be handed to us after the process of an Indian education. Only it isn't all that real.
Textual Translation:
