Göteborg’s a town that knows how to work hard and play harder. Built by Dutchmen, Scotsmen, and dreamers with cold hands and warm hearts. You got shipyards, cobblestone streets, and rain that’ll make you wish you packed a better hat. But don’t worry, there’s always spectacular exhibitions going on or legendary record stores nearby to dry you out, the city won’t fail you like the southern ones.
Take a walk down a narrow street construction on one side, old brick on the other. Smells like asphalt and coffee. You might see a lonely bicycle leaning against a wall, or a piece of graffiti shouting out to no one in particular: ‘GBG!’
Step inside, and suddenly you’re in another world. High ceilings, golden light, and that glass roof making you feel like you’re somewhere between heaven and bureaucracy. That’s Göteborg for you; half poetry, half paperwork.
So whether you’re drifting down Avenyn or ducking into some hidden alleyway, remember every city’s got a rhythm. Some beat loud and fast, some slow and steady like a Nordic tide. But you see the heartbeat of Göteborg sounds different: ‘The place to be.’
When the ground starts to loosen its grip on winter, and the light comes back like it’s got something to prove. You walk out into the woods, not looking for anything in particular, and then you see them.
Vitsippor.
Little white flowers, spread out like a quiet conspiracy across the forest floor. Not loud, not flashy. They don’t arrive with thunder, don’t ask for attention. They just show up… like they’ve got an understanding with the season.
They bloom low to the ground, real close to the past. You get the feeling they’ve seen a lot. Every year they come back, same places, same soft white petals, like a song that doesn’t change because it already got it right the first time.
Some folks call them wood anemones, but “vitsippor”… that’s a name that feels like it belongs to the wind and the trees. Rolls a little slower. Stays with you a little longer.
You step carefully when they’re around. Whole hillsides covered in white, like winter left behind a memory but forgot the cold. And for a moment, everything gets real still. Even your thoughts don’t want to interrupt.
Thing about vitsippor is they don’t last. Not long. A couple of weeks, maybe. Then they’re gone again, like a melody drifting out of range on an old radio. You don’t chase it… you just remember how it made you feel.
I always pick some. Take them home, set them in a glass of water. But they fade quick indoors. These flowers weren’t made for living inside four walls.
They belong to the open air, shifting light, and the kind of silence you can’t bottle. They don’t try to mean anything. But somehow… they always do.
Arjuna was born in the Himalayas in India in 1982 Ever since, he has had a unique and interesting journey through life. He grew up in Goa, the mecca of psy trance, where he saw the birth and evolution of this mystical genre.
Arjuna started collecting psytrance DATs and mini disks at a very early age. At the age of 19, he got his first shot behind the decks and there was no looking back.
Meeting with Giuseppe Parvati and Teo Discovalley gave Arjuna’s music taste a new direction – deep and purely psychedelic – and it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened and Arjuna started experimenting with his own sounds with a Playstation game called Music 2000.
A Glitch "Prodigiosum Habitu (παράξενη στάση) ~ Ètude I”
This art piece were created for my PhD and based on a Digital and Analog Aesthetic Research on "Artistic Practices, Digital Art in Social Networks and Net Art", some digital techniques used of artistic diversity, such as the re-mixed appropriation of image or video, also work conceived as original data work called creative altered binary code, datamoshing, generative art and glitch art worked in all its forms and expressions; works of art with a strong focus decoding the i-frames of images and videos (also known as key frames and altered or distorted creative binary code) mixed with seductive techniques of Pixelsorting Art; making it seem extremely sensitive and abstract; created exclusively for the virtual gallery on-line.
