Looking roughly north from the summit of Sgùrr an Airgid. Thankfully when the clouds came down near to the top and reduced visibility to 50 metres or so we were able to follow a path (faintly visible on the right) for the last few hundred metres to the summit, and down again, so didn't need to resort to a compass. But the view would have been superb - we even met a luckier couple who had got there a few tens of minutes earlier and were raving about it.

If you ever get the chance to walk up to Trolltunga, you will come across this view roughly 2/3 up. A stunning view.
South Shore Drive
Spent part of the day wondering around the lake and parks. The autumn colors have really started to "pop" in the last couple of days!
A public access to the lake off the shore drive caught my attention with this interesting color show.
Ah, the simplicity of fall . . .

After a 12 mile morning walk from Hartington I took my packed lunch into Lathkill Dale and lay in the grass enjoying the view. The clouds were very threatening but it stayed dry.

This well-preserved site consists of five granaries built into Cedar Mesa sandstone. The overhang that forms the ceiling has a unique, streaked pattern that resembles flames at certain times of the day.
Ancient Puebloans lived here between 700 and 2,500 years ago. The granaries perched high in the cliffs stored corn, a main source of food.
