I posted the equivalent hotel window view a couple of days ago, so before it drifts too far back in my photostream, here's a pinhole (home made *) version I took yesterday. Six vertical frames stitched in Photoshop Elements 24 (Mac) with subsequent tweaks of levels, cropped and a bit of sky cloning.

Bumped into a bunch of shooters having a photowalk at the East Coast Park last week during a test shoot. It was a shutterfest (for me, at least); here's one MILF I managed to shoot.

Morella is 1073 meters above sea level, and to get to the fortress, you have to overcome a difficult climb, but it will be very interesting: steep steps, narrow streets, ancient squares, souvenir shops, restaurants with traditional national cuisine, and houses of the indigenous locals. When you get to the top, you can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains and gorges, as well as the city buildings of different eras.
View from the top of Pikes Peak at over 14,000'. It is said that on a clear day you can see five states (CO, AZ, NM, UT, KS) and up to 100 miles. You can actually observe the curvature of the earth. Took the Cog Railway to the top and really enjoyed our trip and the amazing vistas in all directions.
Panorama taken from Lord Hereford's Knob, Black Mountains, Breacon, Wales. Looking north, England in the far distance to the right, Wales ahead and to the left.
Another view inside the incredible Stuðlagil Canyon, taken the following day. It is possible to wander about and scramble over the basalt columns (currently). Some are orange, but most are grey. I used a polarising filter to reduce reflections and an ND filter to slow down the shutter speed to get the more pleasing streaks of white (otherwise it was patchy froth!).
Biblical mural in the old prison. I don't thing this was a chapel, or only a chapel. It looked like it was set up as a mess hall.
For all my Flickr friends who have viewed/faved and commented on my Spain/Portugal pictures, they are finally coming to an end! Thanks so much for all the time you spent with me on them.
Taken in Bay View, Michigan.
While this "cottage" is bigger than many in Bay View, it is typical of the architectural style with lots of ginger bread. You'll note the dragons on the roof, hence the name. Carpenters, roofers, landscapers and painters must consider the area a gold mine given all the maintenance required. You can get a sense of why so many of the buildings are on the national historical registry.
From Wikipedia:
"Bay View, Michigan is an example of two uniquely American community forms: the Methodist camp meeting and the independent Chautauqua. Designed for the first purpose in 1876 as the county’s only romantically-planned campground, and adapted for the second from 1885 to 1915, Bay View constitutes a well-executed ideal Victorian summer community that has remained in continuous operation since its foundation."
