Remote Controlled quadcopter drone equipped with video camera that sends a live feed to Virtual Reality goggles.
The Virtual Reality goggles have multi-axis orientation sensors, and they control the orientation of the camera on the drone, i.e. if you wear the VR goggles and turn your head to the right, the camera will rotate to the right, etc.

This is actually a regular still photo, not a video frame capture. I do have those lying around. This was the same reporter-cameraman team that got the interview with Count Smokula, when he was talking something about the lint being pulled from the belly button of life, or something along those lines. He still plays a mean accordion. You can see him in all three Doo Dah Parade videos, but Part Three isn't quite ready for prime time yet.

My brother made up some new skids for his quadcopter after breaking the last pair of T-Rex 700 (helicopter) skids he had. He used PVC pipe and a hot air gun to melt one side and create a flat area to mount to the quad’s arms. Then cutting the pipe into short lengths the width of the arms and if you are clever you’ll make a few extra because this is another part that is likely to break.
The result is neat, simple and works well. They have been tested.

This is a frame capture from HD video using the Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera, with the Canon 18-55mm zoom lens.
Count Smokula (a Doo Dah veteran from its beginnings) is being interviewed for someone's channel, I don't know which one. He had a hard time speaking and being heard because to the camera's immediate right was a band from the Rock and Roll Preservation Society, and they were practicing, loudly. I could barely capture with my small condenser microphone on my camera what he was saying. You can find out for yourself by clicking on the link below to my YouTube channel:
and being recorded. Proof she was here.
Saw her as I was taking pictures of my friends in Semi-Feral. She was recording them as well.
I shot this photo from the same position and with the same lens. I simply cropped it to emphasize the action in the center of the frame, that being the father encouraging his two children to smile for Greg's video camera. Today, anyone could do this on their DSLR, their point-and-shoot digital camera (like what I have), or their smartphone. How far things have come in the last thirty-six and a half years!
I shot this photo the old fashioned way -- on film (which was the only way back then to get a decent image for public viewing). I used Eastman Kodak 5247 Motion Picture Stock, rated at ASA 100. I shot with a Vivitar 400/SL camera, using the Vivitar 28mm wide angle lens. I also used the Vivitar No. 85 filter, as this is film stock balanced for indoor tungsten lighting -- that is, studio lighting set at 3200 degrees Kelvin. I made some minor tweaking, along with the cropping, on Photoshop.

Here is my brother’s quadcopter on the roof of his car. He has tested and worked out a few things about his quad:
- The canopy made the quad handle poorly perhaps due to the added weigh or wind resistance
- The T-Rex 700 skids also seemed to have had a negative effect on the handling of the quad perhaps this was due to the added weight and the location of the weight
If you don’t experiment with this stuff and generally mess about you won’t improve upon your quad.
