Only brought my 50mm as this was just a vacation, but naturally I knew I'd miss having other glass with me :-)
This is cropped quite a bit :-)
A bit too late I did rememer that my videocamera got a good zoom... :-(
Wife said she saw three around this one I captured here. One was much smaller than the other two, so we'd guess it was a young one.
Saw another pair a bit further out as well.
Flickr Friday theme Cinema. After art school and before full time photographer I tried cinematographer. This was my own rig.

Happy Easter!
I had a wonderful brunch, hung out and hid eggs at the park by the river, then spent the rest of the day working on one million things.
I checked out the HVX200 for a videography project I'm working on. Filmed all evening, then I'll be editing allll night Monday and Tuesday.
It's crunch time now...countdown to graduation! (Translate: I'm going to be extremely busy!)
Circa 1998, when my eldest son was born. My parents bought the camcorder... and then it was forever in my possession!
Now excuse me while I go watch my babies and cry about how much I miss them!
This "hybrid" flag was certainly worthy of a photo-op, as you can see here. Based on what had happened the previous week at Roybal Center with the police, the deputies, and the National Guard (with some burning Waymos thrown in for good measure), it was advised for this rally that people not wave the Mexican flag but instead wave the American flag, Apparently, this guy wanted to have the best of both worlds (or countries), and the photographers jumped right on it.

Our 4 year old Grandson discovered Grandads video camera and loved it..he know has his own with a tripod and Is quite good at it :) very proud

Point to Point racing at the 'Badbury Rings' Course.
Adjacent to the site of the ancient Iron Age Hill Fort of the same name ....
Dorset, England.
In England a point-to-point ( Steeplechase ) is raced over fences and is for thoroughbred hunting horses and amateur riders. Very few these days are not on a race course. Point to point occasionally gives free choice of route across countryside to the riders.
Ruling in Ireland is slightly different with the races open to licenced ( professional ) trainers making this a great ' nursery ' and for up and coming winners to move more easily to the professional circuit.

It happens all the time
To a friend of mine
Always making statements
And moving step by step
Always acting theories
I will regret
My only consolation
In the things that I've done
Are the people who know me
And the objects I own
Happens all the time
To a friend of mine

I'm not really happy with this picture, but it's the best one I got of this more mature street preacher, and I'm just posting it because I want to share it with a few people.
He was certainly very passionate, but that didn't translate into gathering a lot listeners - he just increased the circle of avoidance around himself.
All 3 people in the image were part of the same group.

63 seconds of the sweet sound of Iarnród Éireann 071 class '080'
The locomotives are powered by JT22CW engines are are quite distinct.
080 had just brought the 'Belmond Grand Hibernian' to Connolly from Hueston Station. Dedicated 201 class no 218 took the train north from Connolly to Belfast, with 080 returning light engine to Inchicore. In the clip 080 is being detached from the train.

Sorry, wrong game. This was a bike ride.
Short lived but instructional. Live and learn.
Here's a video from last year when I cycled in to Oliphant Lake.
There is no easy way to capture the terrifying expression of nature's force at Dettifoss. It is the largest waterfall in Europe in terms of volume discharge, having an average water flow of approximately 200 cubic meters per second. The sense of power and the noise that the water produces as it tumbles down into the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon is phenomenal.

On December 21, 2019, I traveled to the Florida State Fairgrounds to visit the Annual Train Show held at the Fair Grounds. Before I went into the building, where the Show was held, I took some Photographs outside on the Fairground Property.
This Photograph was taken near the Equestrian Area, where riders Practiced and Competed during Equestrian Events. Notice several Video Cameras mounted on this building !
