Aggravating but true: Little Rhode Island often has sound pollution from planes. T.F.Greene Airport is some 20 miles away, but we regularly hear air traffic. Fortunately, we also hear traffic from lots of things far closer to the ground.

Der Fahr M 1600 H (Hydromat) war ein Mähdrescher, der bei seiner Vorstellung um 1970/1971 als der weltweit leistungsstärkste in Serie gebaute Mähdrescher galt. Er markierte den Einstieg der Maschinenfabrik Fahr in die 6-Schüttler-Klasse.
Motor: Luftgekühlter V8-Motor von Deutz.
Leistung: 203 PS.
Antrieb: Hydrostatischer Fahrantrieb ("H" in der Bezeichnung).
Korntank: 5000 Liter Fassungsvermögen.
Schneidwerk: Arbeitsbreiten bis 5,75 Meter.
Produktionszeitraum: Die M1600-Serie (später unter Deutz-Fahr) wurde bis 1985 angeboten, wobei über 1500 Einheiten produziert wurden.
Besonderheiten: Erste 6-Schüttler-Maschine von Fahr, ausgestattet mit Wurfelevatoren zur Überkehrbehandlung.
Der Fahr M 1600 Hydromat war ein Meilenstein in der Erntetechnik der 1970er Jahre und basierte konstruktiv auf dem Design der M1300-Serie.
Jetzt könnte man denken das der 1600 eine Eigenentwicklung von Fahr sei aber weit gefehlt, den zum Jahr 1970 übernahm die Klöckner Humbold Deutz AG die Ködel & Böhm Werke in Lauingen. 1968 übernahmen diese die Fahr Werke in Gottmadingen.
Der Fahr M1300 und der m1600 sind eine Entwicklung von Ködel & Böhm und eine weiter Entwicklung des Köla Rubin Hydromat.
Ködel & Böhm war 1966 der erste Hersteller eines Mähdreschers mit Stufenlosen Fahrantriebes.

Everyone's excited about the idea of electric driverless vehicles lately. In Vancouver, we've had electric driverless vehicles for 32 years. I just rode one to New West to have a few drinks with the tech crowd I hang with out here.
I know this is not the best, but it was taken on my iPhone from far away. It does give you an idea of the little eagle and its home and surroundings. Enjoy.

The good news is that the water level can’t rise any higher, as it’s held back by two retention basins. In the past (before 1960), people here where I live used to take boats to their homes whenever there was a flood.
