Taking the picture of the american flag shows the shape of the stars, and the stripes. Also there is the shape of the flag itself. The shape enhances the picture by making the subject more versatile and dynamic. I took this photo by going out during golden hour and having my friend hold up the flag. In photoshop I enhanced the color. I think I did well getting at getting a good angle and getting the sun behind the flag. If I would have done anything different, I probably would have removed the houses in the background.

Conventional construction methods all depart from the basic premises of mass production: standardization, modulation and a production line. What these systems developed during the last two centuries fail to take into account are the evolutionary leaps and bounds the manufacturing industry has taken over the last decades. With the introduction of CNC technologies and rapid prototyping machines have altered the paradigms of fabrication forever. It is due to these new tools that it is now possible to create (n) amount of completely unique and different pieces with the same amount of energy and material that is required to create (n) identical pieces. The possibilities for implementation of new forms, textures, materials and languages are infinite due to the versatility that these new tools offer a growing network of architects, designers, fabricators that are integrating them into their professional practices to generate unique and precise objects that respond to countless data and real-life conditions.

1950 B-57 Canberra .

Electronic Warfare.

Manufactured by Martin .

.

So successful was the English-built "English Electric Canberra" that the U. S. Air Force selected the aircraft as a bomber-interdictor and a reconnaissance aircraft. This 1940's design saw service in Vietnam as a light bomber, repeatedly attacking the Ho Chi Minh Trail and flying interdiction missions over the Mekong Delta and Viet Nam border areas. So versatile was the airplane that it went on to serve as a high altitude photographic platform, a high altitude reconnaissance ship. a weather research craft and an electronic countermeasure machine well into the 1980's. .

.

The reason for the B-57's success was its large wing which gave the aircraft good handling qualities at high altitudes. Pilots liked the flying qualities of the airplane. .

.

The B-57 could carry any airborne weapon in the U. S. arsenal. It was a virtual "gun bus." The aircraft had a maximum take off weight of over 60,000 pounds and could operate at an altitude of 60,000 feet. Combat range could be as much as 2,500 miles. .

.

A long-wing version of the B-57 mounted two additional jet engines and could attain an altitude of over 80,000 feet. It was used as a reconnaissance aircraft over portions of Soviet Russia. The machine also photographed Southeast Asia, Borneo, Malaysia and Indonesia from 40,000 feet. This high resolution, high altitude photography was used to make the excellent maps used by friendly forces during the Viet Nam War. .

.

In many respects, the B-57 "Canberra" was a forerunner of the U-2 and SR-71 high altitude reconnaissance aircraft.

Shawn Hash, the owner of Tangent Outfitters got together with Luke Hopkins, the Stride Standup Paddleboard owner and designer and the two of them came up with a whole new way to go hunting.

Shawn has proven the versatility of the Stride Airlite BC. BC stands for Blast and Cast...or hunting and fishing.

What makes the Airlite BC a new craft of choice for hunters and fisherman is because of the versatility of the platform design, the attachments for the gun bag, rod holder, kayak seat, the low profile design as a sneak boat, and the incredible innovation of it's super ridge and super durable inflatable technology.

Quality Road (Elusive Quality) delivered a tour de force performance to take yesterday's GI Metropolitan H. at Belmont Park, turning back the late challenge of Musket Man (Yonaguska) and completing the mile in a sparkling 1:33.11. Sent off the 1-4 favorite, the Ned Evans homebred attended the pace of longshot Le Grand Cru (Dynaformer), dispatched that rival after a half-mile in :45.19. He opened a clear lead after three-quarters in 1:08.57 and looked home free before Musket Man came running late, but the classy Quality Road found more and kicked clear again to win by 1 1/2 lengths. The performance drew high praise from trainer Todd Pletcher. "It was very impressive, and watching him come back and seeing how he hardly took a deep breath, it's unbelievable how talented he is, especially when you consider he was spotting the runner-up seven pounds and coming off a four-month layoff," Pletcher said. "He's such a versatile horse. He set a track record at Saratoga at 6 1/2 furlongs and two track records at Gulfstream at 1 1/8 miles, and he showed today he's a brilliant miler. He took the race to everyone and kept on. Just brilliant."

Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

The C-17 Globemaster III is one of the most versatile heavy-lift platforms that the world has ever seen.

With enough thurst to power it out of remote locations, enough high lift/drag devices to allow it to slip into small spaces and the ability to carry a lot of stuff a long way it should be no surprise to see these aircraft in service for many years to come.

That's a good thing, because the C-17's demo kicks about as much butt as a non-afterburning airplane is capable of.

non-interchangeable lens but definitely an SLR, the IS-200 is often seen as a bridge between compacts and ‘proper' cameras. In fact it is an extremely effective compromise giving all the good points of a full SLR in a single box. no exposure compensation or bracketing is possible but otherwise a versatile solution to the ‘better quality but not to complex' problem.
