Helvetia Lavender Farm, nestled in the hills overlooking the Willamette Valley a short drive from Portland, demonstrates the versatility of lavender with 60 different varieties in landscaping and cutting fields. Visitors are welcome to wander through the gardens, enjoy teatime in our new pavilion, and relax amid the scent of lavender. We distill our own lavender oil and have a large selection of lavender products and gifts available.

We will open June 27th for cutting the early English Lavender. Visit our farm, enjoy the first blooms, stroll through the gardens and find all things lavender in our gift shop. Our tea pavilion will be open for tea and scones or the pavilion lunch (lunch by reservation only).

The C-17 Globemaster III is one of the most versatile heavy-lift platforms that the world has ever seen.
With enough thurst to power it out of remote locations, enough high lift/drag devices to allow it to slip into small spaces and the ability to carry a lot of stuff a long way it should be no surprise to see these aircraft in service for many years to come.
That's a good thing, because the C-17's demo kicks about as much butt as a non-afterburning airplane is capable of.

I started with just a hole for the vintage camera thumb screw, but turning it into a slot gives you the ability to mount more camera options, and fine tune the alignment with the camera above.

When this hat was finished, I tought: "hmm, strawberry", my friend mistah K said: "jellyfish meets octopus". It was actually meant to be a big spider on a hat... :))
I was browsing through the latest wired magazine and came upon this page which is the first page of a test article on the this really hi-tech motorcycle glove. (the pair costs $250!) What captured my attention was the fact that it didn't come out and say what it was in giant letters. It evoked interest with the upper left catch phases and the the bottom square which was just one word jumbled so you had to read it. You focus on the glove and then you just have to read the text. The text is all about what happens when you fall, convincing you that you need the glove.
I decided to focus on the Silhouette SD. The words "Desire Versatility" is exactly what I was looking for way back when I purchased my Silhouette original. The text says basically points out to the reader that you are not only a scrapbooker but several other things like home decorator etc. So basically you need this machine.
This will hang near my desk so I am reminded why I love this machine so much and take the time to share my knowledge through classes at my local store.

Between our futon wall huggers and space saving loveseats, we have such a selection of futons that can match any space or decor, from a tropical getaway to a guest room in the attic, from a loft live work to the coastal confines of a captains cabin.
I made this bag because I really needed a diaper bag for my newborn baby. I decided to make it so can put everything I wanted in it.
I designed it and didn't use a pattern.
With a 6-week old baby and no sewing experience it was difficult to get started, but when I finally finished it I was very happy with the result.
To describe my bag a little bit: it has 3 inside pockets (one big one especially for diapers), 2 outside pockets, a water bottle holder and a key holder.
I put all my effort and love into it. My little baby girl was my inspiration!
