Osbert came here as a 'singing-child' and was appointed a 'singing man' c 1534
Mentioned as a lay clerk in 1538-40 , he continues to appear in subsequent documentation until his death
He lived with his wife Rose in a house he bought in St. Saviour's parish from John & Helen Hering which he owned until 1583.
He wrote church music for both Latin and English rites spanning 50 years under 4 monarchs, Henry Vlll, Edward Vl, Mary and Elizabeth. He served continuously through the dissolution of the monasteries, the Reformation, the re-establishment of the Roman Catholic church under Mary, and the renewal of the Church of England under Elizabeth.
In his will of 9th December 1584, proved by his widow on 6 April 1585 , he left bequests valued at about £75. Well respected by his contemporaries for his musical ability and his personal character he has the unique honour amongst lay singingmen of this memorial.

After a year of fattening up and perfecting the original version, my first self-published book is finally finished! What was originally intended as a simple technique handbook has turned into beast of over 150 letter size pages and over 170 B&W photos, graphics, and illustrations. I'm hoping that my first volume of Bellydance for the Versatile Dancer will help close the gap between various styles of Bellydance. Foundations provides a thorough overview of basic technique and dance theory, with emphasis on developing the “Dancing Mind”. It’s creates a strong spring board, preparing students for a well-rounded journey throughout the world of Bellydance.

The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is a versatile, twin-engine, tandem rotor heavy-lift helicopter. The contra-rotating rotors eliminate the need for an anti-torque vertical rotor, allowing all power to be used for lift and thrust. Its top speed of 170 knots (196 mph, 315 km/h) was faster than 1960s, and even many contemporary, utility and attack helicopters. Its primary roles include troop movement, artillery emplacement and battlefield resupply. There is a wide loading ramp at the rear of the fuselage and three external-cargo hooks. It has replaced the CH-54 Tarhe as a lifter.
Chinooks have been sold to 16 nations, the largest users are the U.S. Army and the Royal Air Force (see Boeing Chinook (UK variants)). The H-47 is now sold by Boeing Integrated Defense Systems.
A commercial model of the Chinook, the Boeing-Vertol Model 234, is used worldwide for logging, construction, fighting forest fires and supporting petroleum exploration operations. As of December 15, 2006 Columbia Helicopters, Inc of Aurora, Oregon has purchased the Type certificate of the Model 234 from Boeing.[2] Currently the company is seeking FAA issuance of a Production Certificate to produce parts with eventual issuance of a PC to produce aircraft.
