I saw this flower at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales two weeks ago. Each stem seemed to have two different kinds of blossom - vertical columns of rich burgundy blooms and a single pink flower on the top. I wished I could have stayed around to see how it progressed over a number of days.

Yellow-rumped Warblers are perhaps the most versatile foragers of all warblers. They're the warbler you're most likely to see fluttering out from a tree to catch a flying insect, and they're also quick to switch over to eating berries in fall. Other places Yellow-rumped Warblers have been spotted foraging include picking at insects on washed-up seaweed at the beach, skimming insects from the surface of rivers and the ocean, picking them out of spiderwebs, and grabbing them off piles of manure.

Pine Creek Falls is one of many waterfalls in the Knobs Region of Kentucky, a horseshoe-shaped wall of steep knobs that buffers the undulating grass hills of the Bluegrass Region, famous for its horse farms. Just a few miles away from here in this eastern section of the unique Knobs Region of Kentucky, a mountainous Appalachian Plateau Region emerges with its ancient but vivacious beauty. But that is another story and image for another day.

The white-tailed eagle is the largest UK bird of prey. It has brown body plumage with a conspicuously pale head and neck which can be almost white in older birds, and the tail feathers of adults are white. In flight it has massive long, broad wings with 'fingered' ends. Its head protrudes and it has a short, wedge-shaped tail.
This Schedule 1 species went extinct in the UK during the early 20th century, due to illegal killing, and the present population is descended from reintroduced birds.
What they eat:
White-tailed eagles are versatile and opportunistic hunters and carrion feeders, sometimes pirating food from other birds and even otters. They eat largely fish, but also take various birds, rabbits and hares.
Some pairs kill many fulmars, which are thought to be the source of DDT and PCBs (chemicals) recorded in eagle eggs. Carrion is an important part of their diet, especially during the winter months. Most lambs are taken as carrion.
When fishing, they fly low over water, stop to hover for a moment and drop to snatch fish from the surface.
During the breeding season while they are rearing young, they require 500-600g of food per day. This drops to 200-300g per day during the winter months when the birds are less active.

The Consolidated PBY Catalina was a versatile flying boat used extensively during World War II by Allied forces. During a brief sun break, I went into the woods behind the house to look for my POTD. Gracie went along and, with the sun glistening on her coat and her long shadow, it seemed the perfect photo op.
Covet Eyeshadow is a versatile set of 11 glitter shadows with a tintable liner. We showed it with black liner, but it looks fantastic with matching and contrasting color tint. The liner by itself is a great casual look too!
I have been working on even more widely compatible BOM layers and more layerable items. If you have any great ideas, let me know!

The Spitfire is a iconic British fighter aircraft known for its agility and performance during World War II, serving primarily as a defensive interceptor against enemy aircraft. The Bristol Blenheim/Bolingbroke, on the other hand, was a light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft used by the Royal Air Force for tactical strikes and reconnaissance missions during the early years of the war. While both aircraft played important roles in the RAF's efforts, the Spitfire was more renowned for its air superiority capabilities, while the Blenheim excelled in its versatility as a bomber and reconnaissance aircraft.
Versatility is my final project after a one year photographic course. All the pictures are made from my old pictures of flowers.

Ok, so... I built this back in like, September, and had planned to post it around the time that Star Fox Zero came out. Oh well, better late than never I guess. This isn't the best thing I've built, but it was a lot of fun to put my own twist on the design.

Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm lens is the most versatile I used. This one is for Praktica mount and f2.4. It does not have MfD as close as f2.8 version, but it is close enough to never need to use additional helicoid.
Take a few steps back, and it is an excellent landscape or street photo lens. It manages backlight with ease and grace.
Colours need no or very little processing. Black and white rendering is vintage looking. With a bit of processing, it becomes quite modern to my eye.
