Versatile Peruvian Zinnias are at home in cottage gardens, as a mass planting, and among meadow flowers. An easy-care annual wildflower that will bloom all summer, it produces an abundance of red, nectar-rich flowers that attract butterflies and bees. The 1-1/2" diameter blooms perch on tall stems, making them delightful as cut flowers, too. Peruvian Zinnia is native to the Southwest US; it prefers full sun and, once established, tolerates dry soils, though it adapts to most soil types. Direct sow seeds in the garden after all danger of frost is past, or get a head start by sowing seeds indoors about a month before your last spring frost date. If you allow some flowers to mature and form seedpods, the seeds may self-sow and, in mild climates, create a naturalized planting that will return every year.

I was pretty excited to find out that Be My Mannequin? Pose Store was coming to Chronicles & Legends: Deep Blue Sea! Knowing BMM?'s (Be My Mannequin?) attention to detail and how the poses are always so natural and versatile, I knew these MER poses were going to be amazing!

Now the really epic thing about these poses are that they are not only for mers, but for humans as well! That's right! As seen in the picture, all the poses will pose your human legs or mer tails!
Now while this set of Be My Mannequin?'s poses were meant for the Cynefin tails (Nemissa and Lorelei), they are also confirmed to work with: Cove's Tidal Tail, I Monster, Yabusake Betta, and GA.EG & Gaeline Creations. Your best bet is to DEMO the poses at the event!
In my picture, Vin (the red merman) is posed with one of the singles poses: Euphoria. Its intended to be a loop-the-loop with you being posed upside down! I simply adjusted for the picture!
Then there is Ana (the green mermaid) posed with the other singles pose: Exploring. Its a stunning swimming pose that would also double as a great flying pose!
I (the startled human) am posed with the couples pose of the set: No Escape. I'm using the 'Escaping Left' which was perfect for displaying the shocked reaction I was needing! Not shown in the picture is the other half of the pose: 'Escaping Right' and the two detailed tentacle props that wrap around your leg/tail! You can even transfer them to your friends!

What a versatile plant. I was aware that the Hibiscus can be used for tea. However, dried Hibiscus is edible, can be used as a candy and as a garnish.
When reading more about this plant, Wikipedia stated, "Contrary to popular assumptions that the flowers or petals are what is being eaten, it is the calyces." If you want clarification, just check out the link below.
My load today out of Phoenix fell through, and nothing else ready today. Anyway, used some of my time catching up a little on Flickr and a little on editing a few pictures.
I like how this Upper Antelope Slot Canyon shot came out, at least when viewing on my laptop, on the phone not so much.
Took a lot of pictures this day back in October of 2016, but haven't really posted that many of them, so guess I've got enough to spread out over the next few years.
Trying a new edit program, Luminar 3. Happy with Light Room, in fact used it some with this as well as the Luminar. Love Topaz, especially AI Clear, but nice to have options.
The sun needs to be directly over head to get sun rays in the canyons, and then it only lasts for a short time, plus the sun is only directly overhead a couple of months a year, May and June I believe. Well this was taken in October, no direct overhead sunlight. That's where Luminar comes in. It's got a really neat sun rays tool, very versatile and lots of control. Once I got the sun rays the way I wanted, I worked on the bottom area to make them look like they were hitting the sand directly below. That was the hardest part. If you're a purist, sorry to disappoint, but I'm trying to make mostly realistic looking images, but don't feel guilty about how I get there. I want to make my pictures unique and hopefully beautiful or at least interesting. So for me it's about artistic license, not a SOOC documentary of scenes. I could do that with my phone.

The detail in that "hood" is amazing. Again shows the power of that "old" A7r IV when combined with the 200-600. I know, I am super excited about that new Sigma and am strongly considering it but I don't think I'll ever be able to sell that 200-600 Sony, for the balance of weight, sharpness, versatility and overall performance it's still the best bang for buck on the Sony system.
In any case for those who are interested in waterfowl photography, I highly encourage you all to get out and start exploring, the waterfowl is very much in our area along their routes up north! Just be mindful of where you step and whether there are any sickly or dead birds about, and if they are, please please please - clean your boots and gear from one location to the other. Avian Influenza is currently decimating some populations of raptors and can be easily spread by birders and fellow photographers if we are not careful!

I've always wanted to do one of these with black and white stripes but you know I love color! I looked online for a free abstract stripe pattern to download and found this on Pixabay, the artist's name is Prawny. It's not exactly what I had envisioned but I love the watercolor painting effect this has. I bumped up the clarity, vibrance, and contrast. Next time I will keep an eye on the bubbles that form on the sides of the glass. : )

Versatility is my final project after a one year photographic course. All the pictures are made from my old pictures of flowers.
Up to the early 1950s, this one was used by a knife grinder. He would take the train from Luton to London and then cycle back through the villages sharpening knives and scissors. He operated the grinding wheel by pedalling (the bicycle being on the stand). Luton Transport Museum, Stockwood Park; Leica M8, Voigtlaender NC 35/1.4.
Amazing how these little creatures can cling to surfaces and without any apparant fear or second thought.

The Narcissus bulbs are quite versatile because they can tolerate wet conditions and they multiply easily and are a great asset to your boarders early in the year also giving you a great show of colour. These Narcissus flowers have a lovely fragrance and they are also a little unusual because they have an inner yellow trumpet which is edged in red/orange. This variety has been awarded the “Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society” and was introduced back in 1919 which is 103 years ago. It is important to dead head the flowers but always leave the leaves so that the bulbs can re-absorb the nutrients that they contain.
