Joshua Romatowski is a versatile performing artist in the Seattle area. Joshua’s playing has been described as “elegantly shaped” (San Francisco Examiner) “with graceful intimacy” (San Francisco Classical Voice). Joshua holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an Artist Diploma in Early Music from the Cornish College of the Arts. Joshua has appeared with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Healdsburg, and the St. Claire Shores Symphony. With the St. Claire Shores Symphony, Joshua held the piccolo position for the 2004-2005 season. In 2005, Joshua was the first prize winner of the South Eastern Michigan Flutists Association young artist competition, followed by a performance of the Nielsen Flute Concerto with the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra in 2006. In 2014, Joshua placed 3rd in the Seattle Flute Society Young Artist Competition and was a winner of the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle Frances Walton Competition.
As a winner of the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle Frances Walton Competition in 2014, Joshua participated in an outreach tour where he played for more than 4500 students at 18 different schools in Western Washington. Immediately following the tour, Joshua appeared on Classical KING FM's NW Focus Live broadcast hosted by Sean MacLean and gave a brief performance and interview.
In January of 2013, Joshua was appointed Artist in Residence with the Concerts in Marin concert series, located in Novato, CA. This included organizing recital programs including works for flute and guitar, baroque chamber music on period instruments, wind quintet, as well as small chamber works with flute and other wind instruments.
Joshua teaches privately throughout the Tacoma/Seattle area. Joshua currently coaches flute players at Auburn Senior High School, Auburn Riverside High School, and Graham Kapowsin High School. While living in San Francisco, Joshua was faculty with the Young Musician’s Program, teaching flute lessons to impoverished students who would have otherwise been unable to have music lessons. Joshua has experience giving private individual lessons, coaching woodwind quintet, flute choir, flute sectionals, and orchestral sectionals. Joshua’s primary teachers have been Timothy Day, Marianne Gedigian, Jeffery Zook, and Janet See.

American actress and producer Michelle Pfeiffer (1958) was one of the most popular and talented Hollywood actresses of the 1980s and 1990s. Noted for her versatility as a character actress, Pfeiffer has become particularly known for portraying nuanced and unglamorous, emotionally distant women as well as strong female characters with intense sex appeal.
Michelle Marie Pfeiffer was born in 1958 in Santa Ana, California, to Donna Jean (Taverna) and Richard Pfeiffer, a heating and air-conditioning contractor. Pfeiffer graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1976 and attended one year at the Golden West College, where she studied to become a court reporter. But it was while working as a supermarket checker at Vons, a large Southern California grocery chain, that she realized her true calling. She began to pursue an acting career in 1978. After accepting several minor roles in television series and films, her first leading role was in the musical film Grease 2 (Patricia Birch, 1982) opposite Maxwell Caulfield. It was the sequel to the popular hit film Grease (Randal Kleiser, 1978) and takes place two years after the original film at Rydell High School, set in the 1961–1962 school year. Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in Clapton, East London*. Here are the details of the project
The Versatile Garden in Clapton, East London E5 0SA
The sideway of this urban garden will be decked with attractive and durable western red cedar decking, laid in a diagonal pattern for added visual interest. Planting beds will run to the left and right of the decking, with a host of of scented climbers to adorn the boundary fence.This decking will continue into the main section of the garden, where it will narrow to a point intersecting a large sandstone circle patio. The main focal point of the garden will be a curved wall constructed from vertical red cedar boards of decreasing height installed around a section of the sandstone patio. A gap between each deck board will allow views through to the planting beyond. The patio will also benefit from a bespoke red cedar ‘floating’ bench attached to the front of the curved wall and matching freestanding oval table with adjustable legs to allow use as a day bed if desired. The planting will provide structural evergreen shrubs interlaced with attractive white and yellow flowering perennials, as well as climbers around the perimeter.
