This extremely versatile medium bomber was built by North American Aviation at their Kansas City, KS, plant. This aircraft is named in honor of Brig. Gen. William "Billy" Mitchell, who pioneered the concept of strategic aerial bombardment.
In April of 1942, Lt. Col. James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle, later Lt. General, led one of the most daring missions of the war flying the B-25. Only five months after the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Lt. Col. Doolittle led 16 B-25 "Mitchell" bombers off the deck of the U. S. S. Hornet. The B-25s bombed Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, and Nagoya. Lt. Col. Doolittle's "Tokyo Raiders" were successful in their mission.
The B-25 also served with distinction in North Africa, Italy, Europe, and the South Pacific.
The museum's B-25J, serial number 44-31032, was delivered to the Army Air Force in 1945 and put into storage until 1947. It was assigned to Vance AFB as a TB-25J and TB-25N for pilot training until retirement in 1958. The aircraft was then sold and registered as N3174AG. It participated in the 1970 Paramount Pictures release, "Catch - 22" and 44-31032 appeared in the film with the nose art of "Free, Fast and Ready".
The museum received the aircraft by truck in 1982. It was restored in 1998, wearing colors of the 42nd Bomb Group, 13th Air Force, and named "Problem Child". This aircraft is on loan from the USAF.

The Twin Otters are extremely versatile and can be modified to allow airborne surveying and other scientific equipment to be fitted. Remote sensors fitted to the aircraft provide scientists with data on land, ice and sea. Radar can decipher features under the ice or layers within the ice itself. Longer-term monitoring from the air can be used to record the break-up of ice sheets or atmospheric changes.
Two of the four BAS Twin Otters are equipped with a full remote sensing capability. This includes a dual magnetometer – instruments used to measure the strength and direction of a magnetic field, which help detect different rock types.
Other instruments include a radio echo sounder which is used to bounce radio waves through ice to determine its thickness. There are also sensors to detect the colour of the ocean – for assessing the amount of plankton – and several different types of cameras employed for mapping or for counting the populations of birds, penguins or seals.
This one has skis fitted to the landing gear.

Each of the musicians has a say in the ebb and flow of the music. In the end, you may not know what to call it. But you’ll be so happily lost in it, that won’t matter.

Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in Clapton, East London*. Here are the details of the project
The Versatile Garden in Clapton, East London E5 0SA
The sideway of this urban garden will be decked with attractive and durable western red cedar decking, laid in a diagonal pattern for added visual interest. Planting beds will run to the left and right of the decking, with a host of of scented climbers to adorn the boundary fence.This decking will continue into the main section of the garden, where it will narrow to a point intersecting a large sandstone circle patio. The main focal point of the garden will be a curved wall constructed from vertical red cedar boards of decreasing height installed around a section of the sandstone patio. A gap between each deck board will allow views through to the planting beyond. The patio will also benefit from a bespoke red cedar ‘floating’ bench attached to the front of the curved wall and matching freestanding oval table with adjustable legs to allow use as a day bed if desired. The planting will provide structural evergreen shrubs interlaced with attractive white and yellow flowering perennials, as well as climbers around the perimeter.

On May 15, 2007, this F-16 released some flares during an exercise. The flares were deployed below the minimum AGL and started a fire on the test range which eventually consumed up to 18,000 acres and destroyed four houses.
The 195th Fighter Squadron flies the F-16 Fighting Falcon. It is a unit of the Arizona Air National Guard. Its parent unit is the 162nd Fighter Wing.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multirole jet fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force. Designed as a lightweight, daytime Visual Flight Rules (VFR) fighter, it evolved into a successful multirole aircraft. The Falcon's versatility is a paramount reason it has proven a success on the export market, having been selected to serve in the air forces of 25 nations. The F-16 is the largest Western jet fighter program with over 4,400 aircraft built since production was approved in 1976. Though no longer being purchased by the U.S. Air Force, advanced versions are still being built for export customers.

The Jackal or MWMIK (pronounced EmWimmick) or Mobility Weapon-Mounted Installation Kit is a family of vehicles designed and developed by Supacat Ltd at their factory in Honiton, Devon (UK) for use by the British Army and Royal Air Force Regiment. Supacat re-branded to SC Group in September 2015, the Supacat brand retained for the group's core defence business.
The primary role of the vehicle in the British Army is deep battlespace reconnaissance, rapid assault and fire support - roles where mobility, endurance and manoeuvrability are important - and it has also been used for convoy protection.
The MWMIK can carry increased payload and fuel compared to its predecessor, allowing it to carry greater amounts of additional equipment and protection over longer distances, and it is able to support itself and its crew for distances of over 497 mi (800 km).

A 27.5x3” tire measures out to a 29” diameter and a 26x3” tire measures out to a 27.5” diameter. Combining them with a 40mm rim, results in the ultimate combination of traction, roll-over and versatility without being too heavy, too bouncy, too tall or feeling lethargic on the trail.
TAPERED HEAD TUBE
Riding fast with control requires steering precision, which starts with the front of the bike. Stiffening this area results in less wheel deflection, more wheel control. A full 1.5” head tube and steerer would achieve this, but would add unnecessary weight and bulk, and limit stem choices. But a tapered 1 1 /8” to 1 1 /2” head tube serves up a significant increase in rough terrain tracking and stability without much of a weight penalty compared to standard 1 1 /8” systems.
SHORT CHAINSTAYS
The rear wheel tucks in with short chainstays. With a 12x148 rear hub, you’ve got a stiff and responsive rear end.
OUTBOARD CHAIN LINE
A 12x148 rear hub with 3mm offset chainrings minimizes the chance of chain to tire contact with short chainstays and “mid-fat” tires without compromising any pedaling efficiency to a wider q-factor.
WHY THRU AXLES?
Securing the rear wheel to the frame by threading a 12mm axle into the rear drop-outs is not only safer, it’s stiffer. The rear wheel tracks directly in line with the frame, for more precise handling, so you can go faster with more confidence. The increase in stiffness of a 15mm fork axle improves steering & handling significantly. It also puts less stress on the fork’s internals, improving fork durability and performance. The hub drop outs provide a self centering feature for the wheel for fast, easy installation.
FORGED BOTTOM BRACKET YOKE
A one-piece bottom bracket shell and drive-side chainstay yoke provide a strong and lightweight solution for the potential clearance issues of 3” tires and double chainrings.
TUBELESS
Benefits of a tubeless set-up are reduced rotating weight and the ability to use lower inflation pressures for greater traction without the risk of pinch flats. WTB TCS rims feature a tubeless UST “On-Ramp” profile providing a consistent fit between the rim and the tire for easy installation and inflation.
180MM FRONT ROTORS
Bigger wheels and tires generate more rotating mass and traction once they are up to speed. So it only makes sense to use larger rotors to help control that larger wheel in the most efficient manner possible. Sure, 160mm rotors will stop the bike. But when you’re riding like every second counts, braking for the shortest time possible while keeping the bike under control is the goal. And a larger 180mm rotor up front let’s you do this.
SEAT & STEERING PLATFORM
A 35mm seat tube with 31.6mm seat post assures the stiffest possible pedaling & steering platform, with a sloping top tube for low stand-over.
