the lovely Quincy Cardinale modeling my Muralist Utility Belt. This is a piece I made completely out of recycled belts and leather scraps. Got a 4 can spraypaint holster, loops on the cross to hold brushes. Quincy modeled it for the CCA fashion show last week and it was beautiful!
The second patio is for the utility area, near the BBQ. Note the baby fruit tree, which is now as high as the top of the window (in 3 yrs growth time).
I was photographing these guys at fairly close range for probably half an hour, and kept expecting sooner or later to be questioned -- what's this for? Or something along that line. But it never happened. They went about their business and I continued with mine. It was encouraging to find that, in these times of heightened security concerns and tendencies toward suspicion, some people still keep their cool, don't get excited just because some joker with a camera is doing his thing.

While used for routine support operations, the vehicle is assigned to the MMTF, or Metropolitan Medical Task Force.
The MMTF includes Fire Department, Police, and OES, as well as County representitives including Medical Examiner, County EMS staff and the Public Nurse, as well as private industry representatives including AMR and the local hospitals.

Utility 63 is a 2000 Ford pick up truck primarily used as a manpower vehicle. Utility 63 also serves as our primary QRS unit for medical emergencies. QRS equipment includes oxygen, AED, medical kit, suction and other required items. Fire equipment includes a chain saw, K12 saw,4 SCBA, forcible entry equipmen, misc handtools, cribbing and fire extinguishers. The utility also has a portable honda generator and scene lighting.
Such utility tricars have been produced with aim on small tradesmen, who couldn´t afford or didn´t need regular cars. Parts of production cars have been used, a single cylinder 5 kW engine drove it. Small traders in large cities and post offices used it, but the production was limited and only 200 have been made, today it´s a pretty rare sight and a very interesting ride experience.
The left part of the image is the Madison Water Utility, an elongated hall with a blue and white facade.
Volume 85 liters. It attaches with 4 clips. Large straps go under sideloaders for keeping bag secure.

For some reason the utilitarian bicycle became unfashionable in Britain, with the result that lots of people are now commuting and shopping rather awkwardly on various kinds of fashionably sporty bicycles. The utilitarian bicycle seems to be creeping back in, however, via the evolution of the mountain bicycle into the city hybrid.
