I was driving home from work and the sky was so beautiful. I liked the contrast of the utility wires.
I don't think the outer portion of her clothing is actually the bodice of her dress. Probably more of an apron. But, this young woman, selling artificial flowers at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, had a variety of things stored there. Cash, a crochet hook, and pens, for example.

I was photographing these guys at fairly close range for probably half an hour, and kept expecting sooner or later to be questioned -- what's this for? Or something along that line. But it never happened. They went about their business and I continued with mine. It was encouraging to find that, in these times of heightened security concerns and tendencies toward suspicion, some people still keep their cool, don't get excited just because some joker with a camera is doing his thing.

While used for routine support operations, the vehicle is assigned to the MMTF, or Metropolitan Medical Task Force.
The MMTF includes Fire Department, Police, and OES, as well as County representitives including Medical Examiner, County EMS staff and the Public Nurse, as well as private industry representatives including AMR and the local hospitals.
Went for a walk around the neighborhood this evening to get a photo and when I saw the way the light was hitting this utility pole, I absolutely knew I had to shoot it. In fact, it was the first shot I took on my walk and I was pretty tempted to stop right there. Even though I ended up continuing along and taking more photos, I was still fairly sure that I already had my shot of the day.
It even gave me an idea: to try always posting the first shot I take as photo of the day for a certain length of time. It's sort of like playing a game of "chicken", but for photography. We'll see...

Utility 63 is a 2000 Ford pick up truck primarily used as a manpower vehicle. Utility 63 also serves as our primary QRS unit for medical emergencies. QRS equipment includes oxygen, AED, medical kit, suction and other required items. Fire equipment includes a chain saw, K12 saw,4 SCBA, forcible entry equipmen, misc handtools, cribbing and fire extinguishers. The utility also has a portable honda generator and scene lighting.
