Unplug'd did more than nourish our ideas and relationships. The food at The Edge was incredible. They met the various dietary needs of the group with fresh local foods prepared by Greg and Zena.

Birmingham Unplug

Anya loves--loves the water. But we had to dispell one mystery for her while at the beach this summer. "Can you unplug the ocean?" she asked. No, honey, you can't unplug the ocean, we said.

I took this photo as a possible candidate to accompany my piece, Why Self-Direction Matters, in the #Unplugd11 book. I'm not sure if I'll wind up using it, but it's here for the time being all the same.

The ancient castle of Carpiano near Gubbio in Italy dates back to 10th Century. Having subsequently been abandoned for many decades, Riccardo & Marilisa Parisi discovered the old hamlet in 2001 and immediately fell in love with that "pile of rocks". Beyond the careful and stunningly beautiful restoration of its buildings, they have also created the "Borgo di Carpiano" - by far our favourite place to take a holiday and "un-plug".

This photograph is taken from a package of samples I received. The product I am reviewing here, is called Unplugd. It is a 2 fluid ounce liquid shot, that tastes pretty good actually, made for relaxation and calmness. It works very well, I definitely gave it my two thumbs up!

We used to have to unplug the running lights from the truck before backing the trailer into the cold water of the Clinch because the sudden temperature change would crack the lamps.

Now we have plunged into the 21st century with light emitting diodes.

Our friend Jacob caught his first trout on the Clinch River today and some very nice ones at that.

Clarence and Daryl have clued in to the camera. Allana has clued in to the music. Stephen and Bryan are just jammin.'

Even Wi-Fi addicts need to unplug now and then. We went on a big weekend getaway to Big Sur and we highly recommend that awesome place.
