My coffeepot. I show this as an example of how I unplug all of my smaller appliances when they are not in use. Unplugging things when not in use is a great energy-saver.
(Yes, I also unplug the microwave, and also my TV and DVD player – they’re plugged into an adapter together so that both cords can be pulled out at once. This works well since I hardly ever watch it – I don’t have cable, so I only watch DVDs).
None other than Quick Left's Operations Manager/in-house artist/rainbow maker, Ali Schultz, is hosting the #BSW13 & BMoCa Unplug event Friday night. Audience members enjoyed performances from musician Harper Phillips, performance artist Tara Rynders and peruse BMoCA's current exhibition, Museum of Broken Relationships. Stories from esteemed leaders in the Boulder Startup community were interpreted by Boulder's own Playback Theater West. Believe us, you have never heard, or seen, these stories like this before. Photos from Bridewell, the abandoned police station. From Friday it'll be the venue for 12 days of Xmas, a crazy show with over 40 street artists taking over the cells and the office spaces.... it's a very creepy space, very cold, very atmospheric, and I'm so lucky to have the chance to take pics. I might be putting some pics in there - so I'd love it if you could look at the set and tell me which ones are the best.....
Jen (@jdeyenberg) and Zoe (@zbpipe) collaborated together via the Internet with their respective classes from two different provinces, and only met face-to-face for the first time when we gathered for #Unplugd11.

"i miss yellow lines in my roads
some color on monochrome
maybe i’ll paint them in myself
and in the daylight we can hitchhike to maine
i hope that someday i’ll see without these frames
and in the daylight i don’t pick up my phone
cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home
i have five clocks in my life
and only one has the time right
i’ll just unplug it for today"

taking black and white photo, it's been two years but for my first roll back, not too bad.
the black specks are due to the bulk film my teacher buys because our school can't afford good film haha
(the bottom photograph with the dog was taken with my own ilford film)
While the morning sunrise on Sunday wasn't quite as spectacular as the previous day, the sun did choose to peak through the clouds to provide for a beautiful, if short, display. Good morning, Sun!

Not my best photo, but here's near the center. That's what I get for not wanting to unplug my headphones while taking a photo.

The ancient castle of Carpiano near Gubbio in Italy dates back to 10th Century. Having subsequently been abandoned for many decades, Riccardo & Marilisa Parisi discovered the old hamlet in 2001 and immediately fell in love with that "pile of rocks". Beyond the careful and stunningly beautiful restoration of its buildings, they have also created the "Borgo di Carpiano" - by far our favourite place to take a holiday and "un-plug".

Unplug'd did more than nourish our ideas and relationships. The food at The Edge was incredible. They met the various dietary needs of the group with fresh local foods prepared by Greg and Zena.
