*HUNDREDS JOINS “MOVING PLANET “CLIMATE ACTION IN ROSARIO, CAVITE,
PHILIPPINES
*
Amidst signs of an early morning downpour, around 500 people from all walks
of life still converged in-front of the Municipal Hall of Rosario, Cavite to
join the 2011 Moving Planet climate action.
Municipal and barangay government officials and personnel together with
various schools and civic organizations went to the streets on foot and on
their bikes to show their solidarity to the global call to reduce greenhouse
gas emissions to 350 parts per million (ppm) to mitigate the impacts of
global warming and climate change.
Before reaching La Isla Bonita de Salinas beach where the Moving Planet and
350 human formation will be conducted, the participants walked and bike for
about 2 kilometers carrying paper windmills, 350 banners, and climate
posters while others shouted some chants about climate change.
Upon reaching the beach, a wave of people in different colors signifies that
climate action is everyone’s moral responsibility and concern regardless of
creed, religion and social status.
Michael Giongco, head of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Office (MDRRMO) of Rosario, in his speech, asserts that everyone
just walked and used their bikes in going to the beach as a manifestation of
the simple action to reduce everyone’s carbon footprint. He added that the
Municipality of Rosario, together with the rest of the world supports the
global call to reduce GhG to 350ppm to mitigate climate change. He also
hopes that the said event will be start of a long term commitment of
everyone to act on climate change.
Mayor Jose Ricrafente, in his solidarity message congratulates the people of
Rosario for the successful Moving Planet event. He said that climate action
also means putting significance in protecting the environment which is of
vital importance to the survival of the people of Rosario. He shared that
the very beach where the Moving Planet and 350 human formation was held is a
living testimony of the commitment of his leadership in environmental
protection. He further shared that the local government unit has poured a
lot of effort to put an end to illegal fishing activities in the coastal
areas of Rosario.
The 2011 Moving Planet was then read by Ms. Janah Araracap, SK Chair of
Barangay Silangan 1. She expressed that climate change is bringing permanent
changes to our lives that the immediate effects that worsen natural hazard
events must be managed with proper preparedness and response. She added that
the more permanent changes require more massive actions, not just from
government, but from all sectors in society; including all of us. The
declaration also appeals to the people of Rosario and the world to change
“lifestyle” as a simple solution to mitigate climate change. Ms. Araracap
mentioned simple actions such as change of consumerist lifestyle, reduction
or zero use of plastics, promote the practice of walking and biking as mode
of transportation, switch off and unplug of electrical devices, and others.
She also highlights that the people of Rosario supports the current
Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) and Climate Change
Adaptation project that is being implemented in Rosario, Cavite that is
spearheaded by the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR)
and funded by the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR). Finally, the
declaration emphasized on the basic rights of the people to a healthy
environment and free from disasters brought about by climate change.
The finale of the event was the 350 human formation wherein Mark Cervantes
of IIRR gave a quick background on the significance of 350 number in climate
change issue.
The Moving Planet 2011 event in Rosario was participated by the following
organization, schools and individual: Municipal Local Government of Rosario,
Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Cavite State
University, Sapa National High School, Bagbag National High School, Bayan
Muna, Nagkakaisang Kabataan sa Rosario, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary
Divers, Seaborne, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire, Rosario Radio
Group, Barangay Health Workers, Rosario Bikers Association, Lingkod Bayan,
Association of Barangay Captains.
Staff and family members of IIRR and volunteers of the United Committee On
Relief (UMCOR) also joined the event wherein UMCOR provided free brewed
coffee to the participants.

"As long as risk is not being reduced, achieving poverty reduction, social
equity improvement, and sustainable development maybe seriously
jeopardized."
Playing games using multiple monitors provides a way to organize specific elements of gameplay onto separate screens. You may wish to have your inventory, stats, maps or other useful information on one screen and the actual game play on the other. Before setting up your gaming for multiple monitors, its important to ensure that your computer's hardware supports a second monitor. If it doesn't, purchasing a new graphics card normally makes it possible to add a second or even third monitor. Of course, you also need to choose games that support the use of multiple monitors.
Installing a Second Monitor
Make sure that your graphics card supports dual monitors. You'll know by looking at the back of the computer. If there are two or more ports for a monitor then you can simply plug the second monitor in, with the computer shut off, and then start the computer. If the card does not support multiple monitors then you'll need to purchase a new graphics card that has a dual-link graphics card before playing. Installation of a new graphics card usually only takes a few minutes. Just turn off and unplug the computer, open the computer casing and remove the old graphics card. Usually, you'll need to use a Philips screwdriver to release the graphics card from the computer. Then, just slide the new graphics card in place. Don't force the card in; it should slide in easily. Secure the new card and then close the computer case. Once you've done that, simply plug in the monitors and start your system.
Once the computer has started up, go to the display options on your system. Some graphics cards split the computer over two screens, while others have a primary and secondary monitor setup. For computers that use primary and secondary monitors, choose your main monitor and set it as the primary one. The primary monitor will have your desktop, icons and anything else that would appear if you had just a single monitor. The secondary monitor provides space for you to drag items off the primary monitor.
Purchasing Monitors
Check the screen resolution of your current monitor and the overall size of the monitor. Monitor sizes are measured diagonally from one corner of the screen to the other. By choosing monitors of the same size and resolution, you'll avoid problems with flickering and screen freezes while playing the game. If the computer has to work with multiple screen resolutions, the game play will suffer. If you have the money, it's not a bad idea to purchase two of the same monitor. You can always try to trade the old monitor in, pawn it or sell it.
Games Without Dual Monitor Support
There are several reasons to use a second monitor even if the game you are playing doesn't support multiple monitors. For instance, you could have a game walk-through on one monitor and the game play on the other. Multiple monitors are interesting to use; generally, you need to drag any items you want across the screen and on to the other monitor. You can test this by moving your mouse from the edge of the monitor on the right to the edge of the monitor on the left. You'll notice that when the screen ends on the first monitor, the mouse keeps moving over to the second monitor. You can drag word documents, Internet pages, videos or whatever else you want over to the second monitor to view while playing. You could even let another member of your family watch a movie on the computer while you silence the noise in your game and keep playing.
Games With Dual Monitor Support
If the game does support dual monitors then you'll have to go through the list of features to set up the monitor the way you want. You'll need to know your current monitor resolution for this. If the monitor resolution is set at 1900 x 1200, then choose that option. If the game supports stretching the entire game over two images, you'll see an option for a "wide" screen setup. Typically, thesesetups will have a low second number and a high first number. For instance, two monitors with a screen resolution of 1900 x 1200 would have a combined screen real estate of 3800 x 1200. For games that support this sort of resolution, use the combined totals from both your monitors. This is why having two monitors with the same resolution and same size provides the greater benefit.
Alternatives to New Graphics Cards
While not the preferred method of gaming with multiple monitors, you can purchase a port adapter to plug in more than one monitor. To do this, you'll need to purchase the port adapter and attach it to the back of your computer's monitor port. This divides the port into two or more outputs that you can plug more than one monitor into. If you are going this route, make sure that you have plenty of RAM and a fast CPU. Normally, a dual-link graphics card would provide a suitable amount of RAM and processing power to power multiple monitors. Single monitor graphics cards normally don't have enough video memory to support two computer monitors. So, in this case, you'll need additional memory.

5k pot for proportional pan - just had to unplug and remove the old lever unit then cut off one of the plugs and solder it to the 5k pot mounted on UPVC plastic and plug it back in.
Tilt lever - cut shorter, action stiffened by bending the friction spring and range limited by a slotted cover. This means it can't be bumped easily and tilts from straight ahead to straight down.

Truma Ultrastore water heater PCB. This is part number : 70020 - 72100, this replaces 70020-71600, Ebay sells these new from £49 to £120.
It's possible the fault will be a bad connection between header sockets and plugs J1 to J3 or crimping/oxidization between conductor and header plug tab - hopefully ! unplug the connectors then plug them in again - see if that cures the problem.
Replace 1.6amp slow blow fuse, even if it looks good, clean up fuse holder, look underneath at soldering, resolder any dodgy solder joints, if possible use a small tip 15 watt solder iron and don't leave too long on the joint to be resoldered, about 2 to 3 seconds is good. Its always advisable to use a anti-static wrist band and/or at least ground yourself before handling the PCB.
I'm not one to include a yarn with a photo but:
I knew Meatie would have a hard time surviving another winter outside, so I asked a handyman friend to come up with a plan for enclosing half my front porch to keep him safe warm and dry. (am i nuts??)
Omgosh--when i came home from work they had done this. My friend said he had a door at his shop that already had a cat door in it, so he used it. I was afraid Meatie would be too afraid of being trapped in a small area and not fit thru that little door or know how to use it. But when he came back soaking wet and muddy from being out in the rain (after the hammering and sawing was over) he was only slightly hesitant.
I went in first, fed him tuna & crunchies, and quietly closed the door behind me. He didn't even look up. :-) I sat with him and petted him till dark, then I exited, closing the door. On the other side I called him thru the cat door. He immediately came right thru, rubbed his big fat head on me and went back in to eat some more tuna.
OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!
He has 2 sleeping areas, well insulated. I can actually use a little space heater to take the chill off--but only while I'm home to supervise it. Then I unplug it.
My house looks so ghetto, but hey, if the neighbors don't like it, they can move.
hehehehehe
you are going to need to unplug the sensor on the air filter housing in order to remove the housing from the car.
Part of a "How-To" set.
You could probably just undo the filer housing and lay it over on top of the motor without removing this connector, but it comes undone rather easily and it's not much work.

Here’s the makeshift connection test for one of my Raspberry Pis. I’m using an old 2GB Sandisk SD card with Wheezy Raspbian, my Samsung TV as a HDMI monitor (I had to unplug the PS3), a Microsoft Wireless mouse and keyboard combo, a borrowed micro USB cable connected to an iPad wall charger (10 watts, 2 amps) and a long Cat5E cable. ---The only issue was the keyboard. It was dropping letters and repeating others and that turned out to be flat batteries.
Unplug and Play: Pemberton and District Recreation Service hosts free Family Event, May 1Share
Apr 21, 2016
Affected Communities: Electoral Area C, Village of Pemberton
The Pemberton and District Community Centre will be hosting an Unplug and Play event on Sunday, May 1 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm as a kickoff event to Screen Free Week.
The event is geared towards creating awareness for families on the importance of balancing technology use with time with family, creative pursuits, recreation and nature. Children today are increasingly connecting to technology and disconnecting from themselves, their close relationships, and nature. Parents are encouraged to participate.
Unplug the projector, take it somewhere clean and with low-humidity. I used my kitchen counter top.
These instructions probably work on many NEC DLP projectors of similar shape, incluing the HT1000.

I thought to bump up in my photostream two of my older images because of an article that appeared in this morning's Washington Post: Giant ‘corpse flower’ with odor of rotting flesh blooms next door to US Capitol
The Corpse Flower
– Amorphophallus titanium
Like the carrion beetles needed to fertilize it,
we've traveled for miles not merely to see
but to smell this colossally fetid flower.
No wonder the Sumatrans named it Devil's Tongue.
The marooned-tinged spathe has unwrapped,
dropped its skirt around the five-foot long spadix
with its erection of small blooms. Opened, the tomb
tempts us. Like children wanting a scare at Halloween,
or lovers at a horror flick, we hold our breath.
The bravest unplug their noses and take a whiff.
Rotten fish composted with toe cheese and bean farts.
Nature's smelliest plant oils and various sulfur-y
pitches. Peonies, honeysuckle and jasmine
charm the air with pleasant scents. And for this
we love them. The corpse flower knows
we come from what has decomposed –
and like gawkers drawn to a car crash
can't keep ourselves away.
Peter Pereira
from Literary Salt Magazine
Besides being a poet, Peter Pereira is a family physician in Seattle, which could explain his ability to wax poetic about something that smells like a corpse.

Frequently this happens and you have to power cycle and unplug the USB cord. NEVER again will I buy another EPSON product.
Just a simple MOC actually :)
Feature and power:
•Simplified Bone System/Universal Bone System (UBS). The bone was equipped with extra ball joint on the shoulder for multifunctional and conditional purpose. The leg joint was decreased to maintain greater speed.
•Universal Mass Armor (UMA). The armor was equipped with hollow/unplug Hero Core Armor, this design was created to save the hero core of some fallen heroes in the middle of war or battle, the drone scrap/save the core then put it on their hollow armor (this action didn’t affect the hero core processor to be functioned, it’s just act as a storage).
•Low Energy Thruster. The thruster allowed the drone to dash or thrust even hovering for limited time. Can be replaced or customized.
•Multi Tool Blaster. While the default setting act both as Blaster and shield, it can be customized for different purpose and mission. To customized it, the weapon itself equipped with 4 peg hole.
•Standard issue 2.0/3.0 Hero’s Feet.
•Small Energized Hero Core. A new technology invented by Mr. Makuro. Created only by 10% amount of normal Hero Core Quaza. Thus make this drone only suitable for action than think. Also it’s only made to follow order through programming, verbally and orally, it’s rare to see the Drone improvised his action thought. The reason why the hero core was put in the head, because Mr. Makuro want it to act as functional brain. The drone can sacrificed his entire core energy to recharge nearby Hero’s Hero Core, thus make the drone to self destruct. The drone can speak, but only with simple phrase and straight to the point word.
'Unplugged'
A fun, informal Thursday evening of gently guided doodling, scribbling, blind contour drawing, collage and more.
Just making a bit of space to discover what's there when we unplug for a bit.
There are four screws in the sides of the CD-RW drive that must be removed, along with two plastic rivets. Squeeze the rivets with pliers to remove them undamaged. Don't forget to unplug the IDE cable at the back of the drive, and the power connector.
===== Español =====
Usas Debian... Usas Fedora... y?
===== English =====
Do you use Debian... You use Fedora... so? Sometimes people start useless disputes about which distro you should use, why, what for, how, when, where, who.... blah blah blah.
If you like a distro, USE IT YOURSELF and stop searching unnecessary controversy with those other people who are also trying to find what works for THEM.
Leave disputes, argues and controversy to politics. Focus on make Software, solve Bugs, make awesome Artwork, bring more users... but please... don't turn Free Software into an excuse to insult people.
Gimp: all assembly, writes and the background paper, made with some brushes.

First we must unplug a two wire snap fit connector, carefully pull it out out by the connector body only.
Unplug the washer! Then remove the hex nuts across the top of the control panel.
(These notes are for my reference. Repairing your appliances can be dangerous. You can hurt yourself or damage your appliance. Be sure you know what you're doing, be careful, and don't blame me if things go wrong.)

The Concept:
As a culture, we have found ourselves entwined with the exponential growth of technology. Our everyday lives are entangled with the necessity for electronic machines, digital devices, chiming alerts, charging ports, LED screens and high speed connectivity.
This summer, we are extending the invitation for you to come unplug with us.
For three days and two nights, we will power down the communication devices and engage in conversation without texting. We will eat meals by the fire and connect socially without the social network. We will appreciate nature in its true form: up close and personal, without the pixels.
We welcome you to our tribal village.

She always wants to sew. I unplug the machine and she pretends. She'll need her own little machine soon.
Members of the 455th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Critical Care Air Transport Team and the Craig Joint Theater Hospital intensive care unit prepare to transport patients at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The CCATT crew will unplug the patient from the hospital’s power and respiratory machines and connect to mobile units that are positioned on stretchers for transport to a medical aircraft.
