It all looks complicated, but the mini-QR terminals on the ground connections and the taillight hot wire allow one to unplug everything (after slicing away an outer layer of insulating shrink tube) and pull the loose wires out of the fender holes in the even that the front fender or fork need to be removed.
In this shot I just wanted to show what the mini QR connectors look like unplugged-- in this case the taillight hot wire.
The ring terminal providing ground to the two mini QR connectors (shown plugged in) supplies ground to the headlight (plug on right) and to the frame via the bottom bracket (plug on left). It also provides a sturdy anchor to keep the entire bundle up at the top of the fender-- no sagging wires.
This case is awesome! Harddrive installation is SO EASY! The harddrive cage is removed from the front of the case, and so there's no need to unplug the power supply from the motherboard, and to remove the RAM and maneuver the harddrives through cables and cards (that was an issue with Magic.)
And look how big that fan on the top is!

BACKSTORY: Carolyn decided now that Clint had a job, the time had come to replace her computer of 9 years, Magic. So, she started spec'ing out computer parts for a new computer that would become Goliath.
Carolyn built Magic in 2003 when Clint got her a motherboard for Christmas. She kept her old computer, Mist, which as far as we know, is still alive to this day (and was originally a 286, then a 486, then a Pentium 3). Anyway, Magic had tried to die a couple of years ago, but since Clint didn't have a job at the time, we decided it was best to repair rather than buying a whole new computer back then. So Carolyn found an exact replica of Magic's motherboard on Ebay and replaced the motherboard and the power supply. Magic has been limping along ever since.
But now it is time for Goliath. Goliath came into being at the beginning of November and was up and running by November 13th.
SPECS:
CASE: Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Unbeatable Gaming Case ($160) (**10** frickin' drive bays!).
CPU: Intel Core i7 (i7-3770) Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) Quad-Core (LGA1155 socket, 4 cores, 8MB cache, 77W power consumption) ($300). CPUBenchmark score: 9480. For comparison, Clint's computer Hades that everyone watches movies on only rates 4163 (and 1727 before upgrade).
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX (850W) ($140) (5yr warranty)
MOTHERBOARD: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 ($180). 8 SATA ports! Onboard optical digital audio out so her computer is backup for playing music. Onboard video better than my pre-upgrade videocard (Radeon x1950) that Clint tried to give her, so her computer is backup for playing video. (However, the onboard video can only mine at 100MH/s, so it is useless for cryptocurrency mining.) Onboard network.
RAM: 16GB: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series (2x8GB, 240-Pin) ($86) (CAS 9-9-9-9)
HARDDRIVE: SSD: 128G: Crucial M4 ($103) (3yr warranty). Plus all the drives that used to be in MAGIC, before MAGIC crashed.
TOTAL COST: $969.
Ultimately it ended up with a coupld of SATA controller cards, as well as a bluray-burner. We've now burned over 200 blurays.
In other news, Clint decided to get a CPU for Magic for Carolyn's birthday, and she ended up killing Magic trying to install it. It was a mistake to try to mess with the delicate balance that was Magic. Magic died 2 days before its 10-year anniversary. Poor Magic! But it was a good thing Carolyn had already gotten a new computer before Magic decided to kick the bucket.
A run-down of all parts in my new computer, with links to buy them, can be found here: carolyncasl.wordpress.com/2012/10/24/the-new-computer/
"This is a parallel world. This is exactly what we expect it to be.
This is the Internet. The web. This is the same world we live in, but we can't see it. Only a few people can, and only if they are out of their mind. That's what it takes to be able to live it. Codes, viruses and sensations. Display, letters and fake fame. Like in our world. So, if you would have the chance now to be able to see it, would it be y or n? Plug it or unplug it? Error. Probably."

Yesterday this ragtag bunch was joined by an unassuming radio astronomer who coincidentally discovered amazing things. She generally doesn't make a fuss about it. Her example of keeping it simple and relaxed can work!
There's an ongoing squabble between Australia and New Zealand about who invented the pavlova. In England they dropped the meringue on the floor, picked it up and called it a mess. New Zealand has clear title to the Hamilton jetboat but wants to continue discussions about the flat white coffee and whether or not it was alright to bowl underarm despite it being allowed in the rules in 1981.
With all of their sheep, admired in a different fashion to the New Zealanders, Australia claims the SiroSet process for making permanent pleats in wool, so you don't have to iron. Australia also brought you the polymer banknote, which you should not iron, and would like to claim WiFi except for the disgruntled USA and Netherlands claimants who weren't awarded the millions in patent violations. It's nothing to boast about but draining the Murray-Darling Basin of water to grow cotton is gaining infamy. According to both New Zealand and South Africa, Australians also invented cheating at cricket.
Tunisia has fairly claimed Shakshouka after the Spanish stole the ingredients from South America and Italy has rightly laid claim to being the home to pizza using a parallel strategy. Imagine a world without the tomato! Among all this and not to be outdone, Canada has commited unspeakable crimes with the potato — adding curd cheese and gravy — and worst of all, allowed the addition of pineapple to pizza to go unpunished.
I'm in a fabulous little pizza place in Betws-y-Coed. It has taken up the cudgels for Wales, and like St Patrick banishing spaghetti from Ireland, has given WiFi the flick, at the same time imposing a penalty for pineapple on pizza.
That little plaque explains:
We are located in the most beautiful national park in Europe…
These days so many people are absorbed in their devices, so we have made the decision to remove our WiFi.
In this time of being contactable everywhere you go grab the opportunity to: Switch off, take in the view, embrace the moment, unplug, say hello to your neighbour and most important enjoy the pizza.
Email can wait.
I'll raise a glass of fine Welsh cider to that, and the uncommonly fine pizza!
How i did these ....
First of all you need to break the light bulb. I held the bulb in a bag and gently hit the bulb with a hammer. My success rate was about 1 in 3, hence buy cheap bulbs! There is another way and that's with an adjustable wrench and snap the glass at the smallest point. I believe the success rate would be a lot better than the hammer!
Once you've broken the bulb, it's a matter of choice to either clean off all the remaining glass or leave the bulb in the exact same state as first broken. If the filaments have moved, move them back in place so they are symmetrical.
I setup an old lamp stand approximately 12" in front of some black card. Attach the broken bulb, but make sure it's not plugged in! I then set the focus to manual and focused on the filaments. I used a number of various settings between f4 & f8 and a minimum shutter speed of 1/800. Set the camera to continuous shooting. No flash was used in any of these, but a couple of them I did back light the bulb but it didn't really make much difference. If anything, it gave me more pp work to do! The room also doesn't need to be pitch black, I did all of mine with natural light coming through the window!
So here goes .... Try and use a remote if you can as you have to start snapping about a second before plugging in the lamp. You literally get a couple of seconds before the bulb burns out. Hopefully this will give you about 6 shots to choose from.
Good luck all and dont forget to unplug the light before removing the blown bulb!!
i think i have pretty much everything i need for our vacation. :)
just want to say thank you. to all of you for all your kind comments. for this wonderful community. i love it so much. that being said, i'm going to take a break and unplug this next week. recharge my batteries - emotionally, mentally, physically, and creatively. hope you have a wonderful week and i'll see you soon! xoxoxo
Unclip / unplug the white connector with wire running to the door panel. Push in the white tab facing the front of the car and lift the black lever over it until the plug pops out.
New singing Rapunzel doll has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by a doll stand borrowed from one of my Disney Store Limited Edition 17 inch dolls. She is also holding the light up lantern in her right hand, with her arm outstretched to her side.
She is identical to last year's Singing Rapunzel, except that she sings 'I See the Light' instead of 'Healing Incantation', and the packaging is different. The Try Me feature is activated by opening the lid, and she sings 10 seconds of the song. To debox her, you have to open the bottom first, so you can unplug the Try Me wire from the front lid. Then you can lift the inner box (to which the doll is attached) from the outer box. She is attached to the inner box and plastic supports by wires, tiny T-tabs and rubber bands.
After the Try Me wire is unplugged from the back of the doll, she can now sing the 45 seconds of 'I See the Light' by sliding the lantern on her right hand. The lantern and plastic flowers in her hair light up while she sings.
I got the singing Rapunzel doll last Friday (July 22, 2016) from the Disney Store, that I ordered during the Friends and Family sale. I have yet to see her in stores (as of July 31, 2016).
Even though I'm not thrilled with the look of the new Rapunzel's box, the Try Me mechanism is rather neat. You first enable the Try Me switch by pulling a long plastic tab in the back. Then there is a switch attached to the hinge of the front cover, which is activated when you close then open the lid far enough. It will cause Rapunzel to sing about 10 seconds of I See the Light, and light up the lantern she is holding and flowers in her hair. I will post more detailed photos of Rapunzel when I debox her. I still have not seen her in stores yet. And the new singing Belle doll is nowhere to be found, either in stores or online.
Now I have singing rapunzel dolls with three different songs. ''When Will My Life Begin'' (2011 - 2014), ''Healing Incantation'' (2015) and now ''I See the Light'' (2016). I wish that other of the Disney singing dolls would have such a variation in their songs.
The fact that all sides are covered by cardboard (except for the oval plastic window in front), makes the box very sturdy. In particular, all the edges and corners are really stiff, so resist damage during shipping. My doll's box came in perfect shape, which I can't say for most of the doll boxes I order from the Disney Store. The box wasn't packed any better than usual (a few airbags on the bottom of the shipping carton), but the sturdiness of the doll's box made the difference. Also this box is much thicker (deeper) than previous singing doll boxes, and even LE doll boxes, so leaves lots of room to position the doll nicely. The new construction also means the boxed doll is bulkier and heavier than previous singing dolls, so may be more costly to ship.

It’s a sugar coated version of XP that conflicts with my video editing programs. Microsoft has made it harder to move files with no “move” feature. They have taken away the windows picture viewer and gif images don’t work without extra software.
The switch to box wouldn't let me switch mto moizilla on a download for an upgrade to snagit.

Installing windows 7 signature edition on 32 bit and 64 bit. I had to wipe the 32 bit because 7 wouldn’t recognize windows 7 RC. Install of fresh 7 took About 40 minutes. From Vista 64 bit 7 copied and saved programs and data of @ 400gb on my lt and @ 80 programs in @ five hours! That was nice!

Wipe 7 32 bit because of ati problem. Starting re install
To ready desktop:
10/10/2009 10:08:59 PM
A wipe did not fix the ati glitch on a reinstall.
Windows 7 changed back to windows 7 basic color scheme and the tuner came back on. I had just plugged the tuner into Laptop 2 64bit vista and ati 650 worked. Then all of a sudden the tuner started working again on my 7 lt. Weird coincidence.
10/14/2009 4:21:42 AM
Uninistalling Roxio and using a windows basic or Aero theme in Display settings then re-installing the 650 program over the existing install made the 650 work for me again. I dare not mess with Windows TV tuner!
For those with simple need that don’t need a TV tuner I sugest Windows 7 Ultimate. For those willing to troubleshoot your ATI tuner I also suggest Windows 7 Ultimate!
10/14/2009 11:23:51 PM
A windows 7 update today caused the ati not to work again. It plays but is slow.
10/17/2009 5:16:59 AM
I had to reverrify my activation key on the 32 bit.
I can only network 2 machines that are both on 7.
10/17/2009 10:12:32 PM
A clean uninstall of the 650 then re-install AFTER re-installing roxio fixed it so far. It’s working with roxio now. Roxio’s TV tuner and the ati tuner are working. If you put in ati first before Roxio then Roxio won’t let you install ati.
Hp 7350 photo printer won’t work with hp laptop 64bit and 7 desktop 32bit. No compatible drivers I have found so far have helped.
I can’t figure out how to sort icons in Quick launch with 7.

Wipe 7 32 bit because of ati problem. Starting re install

This is so the plastic piece around it will have enough clearance to be removed -- not completely necessary, but is helpful.

One end is a 50-pin Amphenol connector, as used for SCSI on many computer systems. The other end is a 29-pin square connector with a latch and a triangular polarising feature on the housing. One pin of the 5x6 matrix is missing, making it 29-pin. There's a sliding sleeve that retracts the locking mechanism when you pull on the connector to unplug it.
It looks very similar to the Apple HDI-30 SCSI connector, but it's not. The Apple connector has all 30 pins, and has no latch or polarising feature. I have an Apple cable, and comparing the two side-by-side, they're clearly different.
So what is this one?
I got this idea and directions from School for Us.
Put shaving cream on a baking sheet. Spread it out.Add drops of food coloring and smear around with toothpicks or forks. Place a piece of paper on top and press down. Lift up paper and scrape off shaving cream with a spatula. Then wipe clean with a cloth or paper towels. Paper dries fast!
I have busy days, and then I have insane days, and then I have “pure insanity” days. Today was worse than a pure insanity day.
Today just seemed like I was finishing one task and five more came in, while having questions on different projects were rolling on in, and phone calls from this person and that department… it was just crazy.
All that being said, that does not equate to not loving my job or my company. I love them both. But I know I am ready to step away and unplug / unwind for a time. I think more than ever before I really need this!

South America’s First Luxury Sleeper Train
From May 2017, the Belmond Andean Explorer will operate along one of the world’s highest rail routes in the Peruvian Andes; some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world.
From Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire—traversing the highest plains of the Andes—to the reflective beauty of Lake Titicaca. Take the opportunity to explore the vast Colca Canyon then continue towards the city centre of Arequipa, a UNESCO World Heritage site (or in reverse).
The new train will have capacity for 68 guests in a range of en-suite cabins including two double cabins, 20 twin cabins and 12 bunk-bed style cabins for two people.
There will also be two dining cars, a lounge car and an observation car with an open-air deck for scenic viewing.
Travelling through some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world, Belmond Andean Explorer is designed to connect guests with the abundant nature of the Peruvian Andes. Interior designs, by Inge Moore of The Gallery HBA, are inspired by the texture of Peru’s hand-woven fabrics and the soft tones of the Alpaca wool blended with Andean slate greys create a sense of calm enabling guests to unplug, relax and enjoy the journey.
A selection of four journeys include ‘Peruvian Highlands’, a two night, three day journey departing from Cusco, the capital of the ancient Inca Empire travelling across the highest plains of the Andes reaching 4800 metres in altitude, to Puno where guests can visit the remote villages and floating islands on Lake Titicaca and then onwards to the city centre of Arequipa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – highlights of this journey include a chance to explore the vast Colca Canyon, the dramatic realm of the condor. Or, the ‘Spirit of the Andes’ journey traverses the Altiplano from Lake Titicaca to Cusco, for an overnight escape.
Prices start from $462pp (£320pp) for the one-night ‘Spirit of the Andes’ journey, including all meals, open bar and excursions.
Cabins
Discover true relaxation as you step into your own personal sanctuary. Cabins come in suite/double, twin and bunk bed configurations, each with its own en-suite and shower.
Lounge Car
Invite new friends to gather around the baby grand piano and relax in comfortable seating as majestic vistas drift past outside. Share a lively story from the day’s adventures and enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar.
Two Dining Cars
Serving fresh, colourful and seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients from the Peruvian Andes in the elegant dining carriages. Menus are skilfully designed by our chefs from Belmond Hotel Monasterio, Cusco.
Observation Car
The place to unwind, meet new friends and enjoy the views whilst sipping a Pisco Sour from the bar. Breathe in the Andean air from the open deck of the Observation Car as the train travels through the ever-changing landscape.
It will be the death of us,
Our fateful demise.
Unless we unplug, get back to life,
Accept this compromise.
It will be the death of us-
It's been more than the world could take.
Now, unplug, get back to life
And see the difference it will make.

New singing Rapunzel doll being deboxed.

They have taken away the windows picture viewer and gif images don’t work without extra software.

ahhhhhhh, late submission that I am not at all happy about.
Friday was definitely a low point in my photography. I don't think I'm much of a journalist photographer, and I think my editing skills are kinda going down. I need to unplug my brain from society and turn over a new leaf.
on another note, look at all that uncut grass! I'd joke with my mom saying that I'd pay the people to not cut the grass...seriously, love tall grass.

Don't forget to unplug the laptop and remove its battery before you begin! You should let it hang out for a few days to make sure the water has completely evaporated from it, too.
(The internet advised me to use isopropyl, or rubbing, alcohol, not denatured alcohol.)
Went to unplug the fish tank and found this mean old lady guarding the plug. It's only the second Black Widow I've seen in Oregon, and the first one in about 6 years. She did not stay long.

It’s a sugar coated version of XP that conflicts with my video editing programs. Microsoft has made it harder to move files with no “move” feature. They have taken away the windows picture viewer and gif images don’t work without extra software.

10/10/2009 9:39:53 PM

I just got a Tinker Bell Magical Flying Figure by mail order from the Disney Store. She is shown here perched on the charging and launching base. It needs 6 AA batteries (not included) in the base. Then you plug a cord into Tink and place her in the base to charge her up. Then unplug the cord, turn her power switch on, and press a large button on the base to see her fly, for up to six minutes on a full charge. I haven't mastered controlling her yet, so she keeps on crashing into the ceiling or the walls. She is great fun anyway. I think I will try her outside (well away from any trees), even though the instructions say she is to fly indoors only. After crashing a few times, a couple of her wings fell off, but they were undamaged and were easy to reattach.
Made by Spin Master for the Disney Store.

New singing Rapunzel doll being deboxed.

I saw lightening by Telekinesis
I saw lightning
Coming from the street
You were trembling
Hearing your heart beat
Lean in closer
Let me kiss you on the cheek
Singin' to you softly
Singin' to you sweet
I wanna care for you when you are all alone
Sit inside our house and unplug all our phones
Watching raindrops stream down on our windowsill
Let's be in love
Take a walk
Take me in your hands
Hear the wind blow
Pretend we're in Japan
I saw lightning
Coming from the street
You reached out and
It didn't startle me
I wanna care for you when you are all alone
Sit inside our house and unplug all our phones
Watchin raindrops stream down on our windowsill

The Concept:
As a culture, we have found ourselves entwined with the exponential growth of technology. Our everyday lives are entangled with the necessity for electronic machines, digital devices, chiming alerts, charging ports, LED screens and high speed connectivity.
This summer, we are extending the invitation for you to come unplug with us.
For three days and two nights, we will power down the communication devices and engage in conversation without texting. We will eat meals by the fire and connect socially without the social network. We will appreciate nature in its true form: up close and personal, without the pixels.
We welcome you to our tribal village.

The Intent:
Our intention as a Tribe is to provide you with an experience from which you can take inspiration and knowledge back into your everyday lives and create a better world for yourself and those around you
