New singing Rapunzel doll has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by a doll stand borrowed from one of my Disney Store Limited Edition 17 inch dolls. She is also holding the light up lantern in her right hand, with her arm outstretched to her side.
She is identical to last year's Singing Rapunzel, except that she sings 'I See the Light' instead of 'Healing Incantation', and the packaging is different. The Try Me feature is activated by opening the lid, and she sings 10 seconds of the song. To debox her, you have to open the bottom first, so you can unplug the Try Me wire from the front lid. Then you can lift the inner box (to which the doll is attached) from the outer box. She is attached to the inner box and plastic supports by wires, tiny T-tabs and rubber bands.
After the Try Me wire is unplugged from the back of the doll, she can now sing the 45 seconds of 'I See the Light' by sliding the lantern on her right hand. The lantern and plastic flowers in her hair light up while she sings.
I got the singing Rapunzel doll last Friday (July 22, 2016) from the Disney Store, that I ordered during the Friends and Family sale. I have yet to see her in stores (as of July 31, 2016).
Even though I'm not thrilled with the look of the new Rapunzel's box, the Try Me mechanism is rather neat. You first enable the Try Me switch by pulling a long plastic tab in the back. Then there is a switch attached to the hinge of the front cover, which is activated when you close then open the lid far enough. It will cause Rapunzel to sing about 10 seconds of I See the Light, and light up the lantern she is holding and flowers in her hair. I will post more detailed photos of Rapunzel when I debox her. I still have not seen her in stores yet. And the new singing Belle doll is nowhere to be found, either in stores or online.
Now I have singing rapunzel dolls with three different songs. ''When Will My Life Begin'' (2011 - 2014), ''Healing Incantation'' (2015) and now ''I See the Light'' (2016). I wish that other of the Disney singing dolls would have such a variation in their songs.
The fact that all sides are covered by cardboard (except for the oval plastic window in front), makes the box very sturdy. In particular, all the edges and corners are really stiff, so resist damage during shipping. My doll's box came in perfect shape, which I can't say for most of the doll boxes I order from the Disney Store. The box wasn't packed any better than usual (a few airbags on the bottom of the shipping carton), but the sturdiness of the doll's box made the difference. Also this box is much thicker (deeper) than previous singing doll boxes, and even LE doll boxes, so leaves lots of room to position the doll nicely. The new construction also means the boxed doll is bulkier and heavier than previous singing dolls, so may be more costly to ship.

Houston (September 17, 2007) – The Houston Public Library (HPL) held an information and literacy fair fiesta at Park Place Neighborhood Library recently to kick off The Big Read Books on the Bayou: Houston Reads Together initiative. Citizens of all ages are invited to celebrate the joy of reading and join together to read Rudolfo Anaya’s Bless Me, Ultima. Presented by The Big Read and sponsored by the Houston Public Library, the Houston Chronicle, and the City of Houston, The Big Read Books on the Bayou brings together Houstonians to read the same book at the same time, provoking discussion among co-workers, friends, families and classrooms. The program cultivates a culture of reading in Houston by encouraging people to visit libraries, bookstores, community centers, homes, churches, and schools to discuss the featured book.
Houston Public Library was recently awarded a $15,000 Big Read grant by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in recognition of its city-wide Books on the Bayou: Houston Reads Together program. This grant helps fund The Big Read Books on the Bayou events presented free at all Houston Public Library neighborhood locations and with partnering institutions September 8 through October 28, 2007.
Some of the more than 100 events and programs tied to the featured book include the Houston Latino Book and Family Festival, Aztec princess activities, The Mysterious World of Owls, Natural Cures and Folk Remedies, displays, exhibits and more. Programs will also be held at Harris County, Fort Bend, and Montgomery County Libraries, as well as Houston Community College and bookstores including participating Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and Blue Willow Bookshop. A complete calendar of events listing presentations and group book discussions are available at HPL neighborhood libraries and online at www.houstonlibrary.org.
Dr. Rhea Brown Lawson, director of libraries, said, “The Library is excited about becoming a partner with the National Endowment for the Arts’ initiative to encourage literary reading and to celebrate great American literature. By bringing our culturally diverse community together to read the same book at the same time, we create discussion while boosting excitement about reading.”
The literary work selected for this year, Bless Me, Ultima, a classic novel by Rudolfo Anaya, is often described as “one of the most respected works of Chicano literature.” Bless Me, Ultima tells the story of Antonio Luna Marez, a young boy who grapples with faith, identity and death as he comes of age in New Mexico. The Houston Public Library has copies of the selected title available in both English and Spanish. Library customers can visit www.houstonlibrary.org and place books on hold for checkout at any of HPL’s 36 neighborhood libraries.
Books on the Bayou was launched in 2002 by the City of Houston through the Houston Public Library, with support from the Houston Chronicle and many participating organizations, bookstores, and community groups. The first five featured books were: 2002—A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines; 2003—Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury; 2004—Crossing Over: A Mexican Family on the Migrant Trail by Ruben Martínez; 2005—The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini; and 2006—Riding the Bus with My Sister by Rachel Simon.
The Big Read was launched nationally in October 2006 by the NEA, in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and in cooperation with Arts Midwest, to encourage literary reading by asking communities to come together and discuss one book. Mrs. Laura Bush is the honorary chair of the Big Read.
“By joining the Big Read, cities and towns are showing that reading is necessary to the cultural civic, even economic fabric of their communities. They understand the benefit of having people from different generations and walks of life reading and discussing a great book,” said NEA chairman Dana Gioia. “Yes, it’s about reading, but it’s also about getting people to leave their homes and offices, unplug themselves for a few hours, and enjoy the pleasures of literature with their neighbors.”

•A window tells me I don't have permission to save notepad to desktop but it saves anyway.
•I like pin to taskbar.
•When I unplug and go outside my home network disappears. I was able to connect to the net. The network stayed when I came back in and unplugged.
•I don't notice a mail. Windows mail or outlook express.
•I'll install 2003 soon.
•I'm glad I can drag files to a folder and they Move like xp used to. I want a move feature.
•Could not load easy media transfer on xp pro machine
•Adobe flash player 9 debugger comes up in mozilla even though I have installed flash PLAYER 10
•I had problems installing an ati 650 made for windows 7 beta software. Uninstall was just as bad.
•I like the video preview box!
•I can't get the ati TV 650 wonder to load from the software disc or from the ati site using a windows 7 friendly download.
•It looks like you didn’t get the message about playing gifs.

I tried to rename the ext to .mpg they wouldn’t rename. I tried to use a bulk rename utility but it didn’t see the files… Twighlite zone. I see the files and the media player plays them. I want to cut them but do not understand.

THE LAPTOP RECEIVED GARBAGE. But I am wondering why Bella can send me the same thing and it was OK on Laptop when yours wasn't. So it is not you.

It’s a sugar coated version of XP that conflicts with my video editing programs. Microsoft has made it harder to move files with no “move” feature. They have taken away the windows picture viewer and gif images don’t work without extra software.
The switch to box wouldn't let me switch mto moizilla on a download for an upgrade to snagit.

Installing windows 7 signature edition on 32 bit and 64 bit. I had to wipe the 32 bit because 7 wouldn’t recognize windows 7 RC. Install of fresh 7 took About 40 minutes. From Vista 64 bit 7 copied and saved programs and data of @ 400gb on my lt and @ 80 programs in @ five hours! That was nice!

A wipe did not fix the ati glitch on a reinstall.
Windows 7 changed back to windows 7 basic color scheme and the tuner came back on. I had just plugged the tuner into Laptop 2 64bit vista and ati 650 worked. Then all of a sudden the tuner started working again on my 7 lt. Weird coincidence.

Uninistalling Roxio and using a windows basic or Aero theme in Display settings then re-installing the 650 program over the existing install made the 650 work for me again. I dare not mess with Windows TV tuner!
For those with simple need that don’t need a TV tuner I sugest Windows 7 Ultimate. For those willing to troubleshoot your ATI tuner I also suggest Windows 7 Ultimate!

I had to reverrify my activation key on the 32 bit.
I can only network 2 machines that are both on 7.

A clean uninstall of the 650 then re-install AFTER re-installing roxio fixed it so far.It’s working with roxio now. Roxio’s TV tuner and the ati tuner are working. If you put in ati first before Roxio then Roxio won’t let you install ati.
Hp 7350 photo printer won’t work with hp laptop 64bit and 7 desktop 32bit. No compatible drivers I have found so far have helped.
I can’t figure out how to sort icons in Quick launch with 7.

Friday was definitely a low point in my photography. I don't think I'm much of a journalist photographer, and I think my editing skills are kinda going down. I need to unplug my brain from society and turn over a new leaf.
on another note, look at all that uncut grass! I'd joke with my mom saying that I'd pay the people to not cut the grass...seriously, love tall grass.
Don't forget to unplug the laptop and remove its battery before you begin! You should let it hang out for a few days to make sure the water has completely evaporated from it, too.
(The internet advised me to use isopropyl, or rubbing, alcohol, not denatured alcohol.)

In particular, all the edges and corners are really stiff, so resist damage during shipping. My doll's box came in perfect shape, which I can't say for most of the doll boxes I order from the Disney Store. The box wasn't packed any better than usual (a few airbags on the bottom of the shipping carton), but the sturdiness of the doll's box made the difference. Also this box is much thicker (deeper) than previous singing doll boxes, and even LE doll boxes, so leaves lots of room to position the doll nicely. The new construction also means the boxed doll is bulkier and heavier than previous singing dolls, so may be more costly to ship.

Houston (September 17, 2007) – The Houston Public Library (HPL) held an information and literacy fair fiesta at Park Place Neighborhood Library recently to kick off The Big Read Books on the Bayou: Houston Reads Together initiative. Citizens of all ages are invited to celebrate the joy of reading and join together to read Rudolfo Anaya’s Bless Me, Ultima. Presented by The Big Read and sponsored by the Houston Public Library, the Houston Chronicle, and the City of Houston, The Big Read Books on the Bayou brings together Houstonians to read the same book at the same time, provoking discussion among co-workers, friends, families and classrooms. The program cultivates a culture of reading in Houston by encouraging people to visit libraries, bookstores, community centers, homes, churches, and schools to discuss the featured book.
Houston Public Library was recently awarded a $15,000 Big Read grant by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in recognition of its city-wide Books on the Bayou: Houston Reads Together program. This grant helps fund The Big Read Books on the Bayou events presented free at all Houston Public Library neighborhood locations and with partnering institutions September 8 through October 28, 2007.
Some of the more than 100 events and programs tied to the featured book include the Houston Latino Book and Family Festival, Aztec princess activities, The Mysterious World of Owls, Natural Cures and Folk Remedies, displays, exhibits and more. Programs will also be held at Harris County, Fort Bend, and Montgomery County Libraries, as well as Houston Community College and bookstores including participating Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and Blue Willow Bookshop. The Houston Public Library has copies of the selected title available in both English and Spanish. Books on the Bayou was launched in 2002 by the City of Houston through the Houston Public Library, with support from the Houston Chronicle and many participating organizations, bookstores, and community groups. Gaines; 2003—Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury; 2004—Crossing Over: A Mexican Family on the Migrant Trail by Ruben Martínez; 2005—The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini; and 2006—Riding the Bus with My Sister by Rachel Simon.

From May 2017, the Belmond Andean Explorer will operate along one of the world’s highest rail routes in the Peruvian Andes; some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world.

Most of the clips are on the sides and bottom. Once those clips are loosened, Pull the trim up to reveal the electrical connections. Unplug the door light and the window switch. Unhook the door lock and the door handle cables. Now pull the trim off of the door.

The Pemberton and District Community Centre will be hosting an Unplug and Play event on Sunday, May 1 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm as a kickoff event to Screen Free Week.
The event is geared towards creating awareness for families on the importance of balancing technology use with time with family, creative pursuits, recreation and nature. Children today are increasingly connecting to technology and disconnecting from themselves, their close relationships, and nature. Parents are encouraged to participate.
Over a hundred South African activists joined other climate activists from across the globe with a symbolic anti-coal installation in Johannesburg's Gandhi Square to call on the South African government and the national utility - Eskom - to unplug coal power, and switch on renewable energy instead.

Close up of the electronics. Some basses have the red and black battery wires swapped over by mistake. The polarity is marked with a small plus and minus sign on the board near the solder joint connecting them to the board. With possibly the aide of a magnifying glass, check the red goes to + and the black to -. If they are don't you can either swap them round, or just remember that when changing the battery, it needs to go back into the battery holder the "wrong" way round. It doesn't seem to harm the bass if the battery is inserted with reverse polarity, it just won't work.
Unplug the piezo cables from the circuit board sockets. It might be advisable to put a piece of sticky tape on one piezo cable so you can identify which way round they go when re-assembling.
I had such little time to take this picture, and then when i got off work to edit it, I was so unpleased. Working night shift stinks, and so does integrity. When I started this project, I didn't want to edit pictures from a some other shoot just to have a fantastic 365. So, not even a week into it, I'm already having moments where I can't really photoshop my way out of! But, that's life right?
On a more pleasant note, today was amazing. I felt powerful, grateful, beyond happy. I deleted my myspace. A lot of people didn't get it, some even got a little angry. But, I've realized that if I'm ever going to grow up, I had to start with unplugging. I'll still be on the internet more time than I ever should be, but hopefully I'll be doing more productive things. I started to realize that a lot of people are fake, empty and gossipy. I don't need that in my life. So here's to Flickr!

•A window tells me I don't have permission to save notepad to desktop but it saves anyway.
•I like pin to taskbar.
•When I unplug and go outside my home network disappears. I was able to connect to the net. The network stayed when I came back in and unplugged.

I tried to rename the ext to .mpg they wouldn’t rename. I tried to use a bulk rename utility but it didn’t see the files… Twighlite zone. I see the files and the media player plays them. It’s a sugar coated version of XP that conflicts with my video editing programs. Microsoft has made it harder to move files with no “move” feature. They have taken away the windows picture viewer and gif images don’t work without extra software.
The switch to box wouldn't let me switch mto moizilla on a download for an upgrade to snagit.

Installing windows 7 signature edition on 32 bit and 64 bit. I had to wipe the 32 bit because 7 wouldn’t recognize windows 7 RC. Install of fresh 7 took About 40 minutes. From Vista 64 bit 7 copied and saved programs and data of @ 400gb on my lt and @ 80 programs in @ five hours! That was nice!

A wipe did not fix the ati glitch on a reinstall.
Windows 7 changed back to windows 7 basic color scheme and the tuner came back on. I had just plugged the tuner into Laptop 2 64bit vista and ati 650 worked. Then all of a sudden the tuner started working again on my 7 lt. Weird coincidence.

Uninistalling Roxio and using a windows basic or Aero theme in Display settings then re-installing the 650 program over the existing install made the 650 work for me again. I dare not mess with Windows TV tuner!
For those with simple need that don’t need a TV tuner I sugest Windows 7 Ultimate. For those willing to troubleshoot your ATI tuner I also suggest Windows 7 Ultimate!

A clean uninstall of the 650 then re-install AFTER re-installing roxio fixed it so far.It’s working with roxio now. Roxio’s TV tuner and the ati tuner are working. If you put in ati first before Roxio then Roxio won’t let you install ati.
Hp 7350 photo printer won’t work with hp laptop 64bit and 7 desktop 32bit. No compatible drivers I have found so far have helped.
I can’t figure out how to sort icons in Quick launch with 7.

New singing Rapunzel doll has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by a doll stand borrowed from one of my Disney Store Limited Edition 17 inch dolls. She is also holding the light up lantern in her right hand, with her arm outstretched to her side.
She is identical to last year's Singing Rapunzel, except that she sings 'I See the Light' instead of 'Healing Incantation', and the packaging is different. The Try Me feature is activated by opening the lid, and she sings 10 seconds of the song. To debox her, you have to open the bottom first, so you can unplug the Try Me wire from the front lid. Then you can lift the inner box (to which the doll is attached) from the outer box. She is attached to the inner box and plastic supports by wires, tiny T-tabs and rubber bands.
After the Try Me wire is unplugged from the back of the doll, she can now sing the 45 seconds of 'I See the Light' by sliding the lantern on her right hand. The lantern and plastic flowers in her hair light up while she sings.

I still have not seen her in stores yet. And the new singing Belle doll is nowhere to be found, either in stores or online.
Now I have singing rapunzel dolls with three different songs. ''When Will My Life Begin'' (2011 - 2014), ''Healing Incantation'' (2015) and now ''I See the Light'' (2016). I wish that other of the Disney singing dolls would have such a variation in their songs.

In particular, all the edges and corners are really stiff, so resist damage during shipping. My doll's box came in perfect shape, which I can't say for most of the doll boxes I order from the Disney Store. The box wasn't packed any better than usual (a few airbags on the bottom of the shipping carton), but the sturdiness of the doll's box made the difference. Also this box is much thicker (deeper) than previous singing doll boxes, and even LE doll boxes, so leaves lots of room to position the doll nicely. The new construction also means the boxed doll is bulkier and heavier than previous singing dolls, so may be more costly to ship.

*Hands-on group workshop with full interaction on creating your own vegetable/fruit raised-garden - planning, sun exposure, planting, watering, and maintaining a healthy crop. Plan to get your hands DIRTy as we install a garden bed on site.
*The vital and importance of a rain collecting/harvesting roof systems, which was installed on site - a walk through the installations will be conducted with questions and answers.
*Cob stomping and structure fabrication hosted by Ben Vilner: a participatory community creation by YOU

24Feb2011- The plug for the water heater is just to the right of this photograph. It does have a plastic water shield, and I try to remember to unplug the heater when I take a shower, but sometimes I forget. At least I live in a concrete building, so I don't think I need to worry about the building burning down.
The power socket is outside, meaning you can easily unplug it to vacuum etc.

I just got a Tinker Bell Magical Flying Figure by mail order from the Disney Store. She is shown here perched on the charging and launching base. It needs 6 AA batteries (not included) in the base. Then you plug a cord into Tink and place her in the base to charge her up. Then unplug the cord, turn her power switch on, and press a large button on the base to see her fly, for up to six minutes on a full charge. I haven't mastered controlling her yet, so she keeps on crashing into the ceiling or the walls. She is great fun anyway. I think I will try her outside (well away from any trees), even though the instructions say she is to fly indoors only. After crashing a few times, a couple of her wings fell off, but they were undamaged and were easy to reattach.
