Interested to find out how manageable high iso n how clean can this newly anticipated full-frame contender??

Can Canon 6D truly unplug to deliver those charming whistle among competitive rivals? So far, some relevant mighty headlines free echo had been spreading on the common street with favoritism praise by satisfy user .. but how true it is????

Practically me, no insight technical metrology though , summarise to drill on the interesting highlight of ISO aspect with down to earth unbiased information as I own both the Canon 5d2 n 6D n other canon latest camera.

Here, pushing n testing some of the unusual limit of raising ISO 800 beside the normal ISO 100 with just single count exposure during my night landscape shot ! It seem to picking up some minor dark shadow noise, I don't really see any different up to this point even with my old 5Dmark2. The following iSo may interest more when u start pumping up, differences may appear especially those attempt longer exposure at night with slight struggle noise from ISO2000-3200 when call in. However, 6D exhibit much acceptable cleaner n finer color noise pick up by our common visible eye, when kick harder into ISO3200-6400 region, it slowly turn sucks for my personal limitation preference if pro-longe exposure more than 20s would briefly terrify an image during dark or dimly lit condition, but , still a useful iso helper during good daylight combat to gain for faster shutter speed by day with very less worry.

For ISO 6400 onwards, noise condition varies much with canon top of the line good quality glass that able to shot at widest end. However, a normal third party lens will show it true color, the forbidden ugly yucky noise start rising from f4 onwards.

Ignore the 250,000 ISO. Chances of other lower ISO is mere nonsense or gimmick from major popular website guru-reviewers who testify as still usable, a skeptical commercial tactic or been undertable compensated for self benefit reason to claim positive remarks had screw up many earger buyer into wrong believed.

Final verdict appear that, not really so desirable once after the holy mark iso 3200. Don't fall into the legendary rumors of it high capability of sweet superb ISO terminology , any attempt above that, it simply ruin your image.. Canon's yet need indepth technical improvement with such technology here. Unless people can really afford high end wide opening f1.2 super fast lens pair with such heavenly spec advance camera. If not, forget about it high ISO fantasy at the moment. Focusing was average as less miss n hit continue depend on combination skill during servo tracking mode. Be amaze with the primitive ONe Shot mode. A killer keeper with fantastic result at most time. Overall Color display is towards nice warmer vivid tone, however, exposure may tend to lean on brighter side but acceptable unless u take the effort to manual compensate -2/3 stop depend on what u r metering at.

Congratulate those who're still holding on their 5DMark2, please continue to enjoy the fundamental robust mechanism of fullframe though some may feel somehow back dated but rest assure the substential reliable engineering n technology did proven numerous awards recognition winning shot taken by it predecessor without doubt praise by the world.

I see little trade off for those preparing giving up their mark2. With Canon 6D paper, U may acquire what today's Canon intelligent imaging digi 5+ processor inside with the ability climb up to +3 ev that canon claim able to shot at moon light condition but, but ... remember not a guarantee 100% token it will absolutely strike during critical precious moment that make u hate their promise, I'm seriously afraid photographers may loss more of other essential function what ur 5d2 previously had are awefully missing from 6D.

Last words, keep ur 5 D2 n continue shooting. I'm feeling regret at some point .

"This is a parallel world. This is exactly what we expect it to be.

This is the Internet. The web. This is the same world we live in, but we can't see it. Only a few people can, and only if they are out of their mind. That's what it takes to be able to live it. Codes, viruses and sensations. Display, letters and fake fame. Like in our world. So, if you would have the chance now to be able to see it, would it be y or n? Plug it or unplug it? Error. Probably."

Peak trains laying over in the running shed. The overhead track to the left of the lights is the power supply, via the cables, to the shed socket on the train, enabling it to be driven out of the shed. Quite a few were pulled down by drivers forgetting to stop and unplug.

This image is quite a good representation of how (during a processing time) I feel on the inside. When I say processing I mean trying to establish why I feel the way I feel, what is/has caused it and what is the way forward.

I spent day after day processing for weeks (which, let me tell you is DRAINING!) but as the days turn to weeks, you have less need to process and more time to live a little.

Florida was amazing on so many levels. I didn't quite appreciate how much I needed the break until I was there. Suddenly not having to think all the time about everything, unplug from responsibilities and look beyond your own soap-opera to go and feature in someone elses. That, by the way, is my personal metaphor for life. We are all the star in our own soap opera. Some people are cast members such as friends and family, some people play guest roles and feature now and again and some people stay for a season and leave.

Florida saw a mass connect of many soap operas. On this particular day, Lynne and Rick left to go home plus Cassandra left to go to Germany. Both of them had gone within an hour or two of each other (a couple of days before I was due to go home) and quite honestly I could not get it together after they left. It was like, I connected with these people who were so much fun and sharing in the same experiences as me...and suddenly it was their time to leave. It took me a good while to process, so much so, I had to call my security blanket Phil to understand why I felt the way I did.

He was clear- you have invited many people into your life and suddenly you are alone again. You need to now busy yourself until you are due to come home.

Simples. He was right, I know I am very good at letting people in. I am rubbish at letting them leave. If they do have to go, I have to make it gradual and slow or it throws me into a spin.

So beware, if you are thinking of leaving me, it might not be so easy moohaahahha :)

This is the bottom of Derek's studio. The back wall is dominated of a photographic portrait of Naya by John Sluder (this is for sale if you have $2500 to pay him). Its a real talking point in the gallery.

Derek was making a video teaser for the Kentucky Derby when I was making this. You can see it here.

My evening scan of images has me a bit in a reflective state. I guess the usual punch of color and screaming detail I usually present via HDR can take a back seat for a night or 2.

Iceland, wow...

I was chatting a bit with a long time client and friend today about our awesome opportunity to make it over there last year. For me, anytime I get a chance to actually leave the country is in essence, a license to unplug from any real responsibility. I guess I have a bit of a split personality. Although I am an entrepreneur and need to be running my own ship for most of the time, it sure is nice to jump of the gang plank and abandon ship. I can remember bumbling about Europe a few years ago during one of my first trips over there. Just before leaving, I let Carl (the guy I left in charge) know that I would check in often. Well, 3 weeks later, I finally got around to checking in. I kinda miss those days without internet and cel phone. Kinda hard to REALLY escape these days. There's must be some place thats virtually unreachable on this planet. Guess I gotta do a little more work finding that place perhaps....LOL!

Ah yes, the feeling of wanderlust....

The images below were from just one of those kinda trips. Unplugged, exploring, and loving it in Iceland!

Similar to a previous photo I posted, but the plane that left Dulles here had all their lights on, and I used a more diffused Photoshop treatment to it, with a bit of a warm glow to it.

Anyway, coming next: my first fashion shoot and some pretty cool sunset photos from Ventura last night. Stay tuned, or unplug and go get a coffee. It's freezing out!

Sometimes we all need to 'unplug' / take a break from the World Wide Web. I wasn't gone a 100% but enough to focus on my family, my daytime job and my photography. I have to say it has been well worth it!!! Because I have had BIG, exciting things happening & I'm still in shock! I'd never guess these big company's would find my work. And no, it is not with Getty images which is probably why I am so excited.

So with that being said, I've been on cloud nine for the past few weeks :)

However, I'm still crazy busy with life itself and with more projects coming up but when I get a few extra mins, I'll jump on here to check out everyone's work. I feel like I've missed so much. :/ Well, I hope all my flickr friends are having an amazing weekend!!! I hope to be back very soon! :) - Sarah

While hiking, I have been seeing a growing number of people taking only a brief view of the surroundings and then burying themselves in their electronic devices. This ongoing project highlights the need to re-examine our need to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of this world.

normally i dislike having my photo taken, specifically by anyone other than myself (i don't mind taking photos of myself that much, honestly, but sharing them with other people is another matter)...

the reasons for which are many and would require an essay length explanation, but it is an openly primary reason i prefer to project my feelings or creativity and ideas on to other things besides my own body, for example such as dolls and figures, or game avatars and so on.

lately i was looking through a lot of flickr self-portrait groups though and really enjoying many of the pictures i was seeing, so maybe it triggered a desire to do something different...

also i was overly-hyperactive and energetic this morning and in the early afternoon, and all that energy and happiness is mostly dissipated now, so it seems appropriate to commemorate something transient like that.

these were taken around 1:45pm today. it was very hot and humid and sunny so i just ran around my backyard for a while because i didn't have much time to take many pictures at all due to having 1~2 hours doctors' appointment coming up in the rest of the afternoon.

of course, when i got home from the city, there was immediately a massive thunderstorm that lasted at least 2 more hours and i always unplug my PC during storms in case the house gets hit by lightning. so i didn't even get to look at the pictures i took until about an hour ago.

well, i'm not sure how comfortable i am with taking these kinds of photos, but perhaps someone somewhere will enjoy them... pushing one's self out of your own comfort zone is an important thing to do in life anyway.

Today our little town was doing a kite day to encourage families to unplug. Only about 20 families showed up but It was still fun to see all the kites up in the air. This was our first time flying a kite and I loved it... I found it to be very relaxing once the dang thing was up in the air.

On a side note I am so behind on this 365. I needed to take a tiny break but I plan on catching up and getting my motivation back.

I am using an electric drill with a 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) expansion bit to bore some mouseholes in the frame of four of my layout sections. I had to spend an hour or more to clear off all the trains, buildings, and track from the top of each section, unplug and remove the wiring, and unbolt the sections from their neighbors before I could cut the holes for the wiring of future track expansions. Then after a few minutes of drilling and cleaning up sawdust, it took another hour setting each of them back up. Above me you can see the horizontal L girder that this layout section will rest upon.

New singing Rapunzel doll has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by a doll stand borrowed from one of my Disney Store Limited Edition 17 inch dolls. She is also holding the light up lantern in her right hand, with her arm outstretched to her side. Here she is singing, with the lantern and flowers in her hair lit up.

She is identical to last year's Singing Rapunzel, except that she sings 'I See the Light' instead of 'Healing Incantation', and the packaging is different. The Try Me feature is activated by opening the lid, and she sings 10 seconds of the song. To debox her, you have to open the bottom first, so you can unplug the Try Me wire from the front lid. Then you can lift the inner box (to which the doll is attached) from the outer box. She is attached to the inner box and plastic supports by wires, tiny T-tabs and rubber bands.

After the Try Me wire is unplugged from the back of the doll, she can now sing the 45 seconds of 'I See the Light' by sliding the lantern on her right hand. The lantern and plastic flowers in her hair light up while she sings.

I got the singing Rapunzel doll last Friday (July 22, 2016) from the Disney Store, that I ordered during the Friends and Family sale. I have yet to see her in stores (as of July 31, 2016).

Even though I'm not thrilled with the look of the new Rapunzel's box, the Try Me mechanism is rather neat. You first enable the Try Me switch by pulling a long plastic tab in the back. Then there is a switch attached to the hinge of the front cover, which is activated when you close then open the lid far enough. It will cause Rapunzel to sing about 10 seconds of I See the Light, and light up the lantern she is holding and flowers in her hair. I will post more detailed photos of Rapunzel when I debox her. I still have not seen her in stores yet. And the new singing Belle doll is nowhere to be found, either in stores or online.

Now I have singing rapunzel dolls with three different songs. ''When Will My Life Begin'' (2011 - 2014), ''Healing Incantation'' (2015) and now ''I See the Light'' (2016). I wish that other of the Disney singing dolls would have such a variation in their songs.

The fact that all sides are covered by cardboard (except for the oval plastic window in front), makes the box very sturdy. In particular, all the edges and corners are really stiff, so resist damage during shipping. My doll's box came in perfect shape, which I can't say for most of the doll boxes I order from the Disney Store. The box wasn't packed any better than usual (a few airbags on the bottom of the shipping carton), but the sturdiness of the doll's box made the difference. Also this box is much thicker (deeper) than previous singing doll boxes, and even LE doll boxes, so leaves lots of room to position the doll nicely. The new construction also means the boxed doll is bulkier and heavier than previous singing dolls, so may be more costly to ship.

Things are quiet here today. After being glued to our television and social media streams last night and this morning, our little household has taken the afternoon to rest. I'm grateful that I'm connected to the world at all times, during both peace and strife, but also for the ability to unplug and recharge. The more I run myself into the ground with stress, anxiety & worry, my body reminds me that I'm of no use to anyone if I don't take care of it, so today I'm sending the world my love through self-care, so that tomorrow my one little light may shine more brightly.

I went back to the sleep clinic overnight for a follow up session where they monitor you to see how you have improved. Ironically it ended up being the worst sleep I've had in a long time. Weird dreams all night. She told me you have a mic taped to your neck if you need anything just say something. Well after saying about 6 times I need to get up to use the washroom I finally just got up and tried to open the door and not unplug any of the whack of wires hanging off me. She came running over and says oh why didn't you say anything? I think she was having a better sleep than me behind her desk....lol

On a positive note she said my mask is sealing well so I finally got a winner!! I don't go back until April to get the official report form the doctor.

Happy weekend my friend.

It's been a wonderful, lazy week off for Sassy and I. Yesterday, I don't know what I was thinkin', I decided to hard wire a switch for the heat lamp in the dogs kennel area in the garage. We always had it plugged into a extension cord and often times didn't unplug it when they came back into the house. Pain in the ASS but goterdone. Today, it was house cleaning in the morning. The kids are coming over for a early new year get together. I've got a sweet prime rib slow cooking on the Weber and then a salmon fillet to throw on the grill a little later. Twice baked potatoes and asparagus. That leaves us tomorrow and Sunday to be lazy sloths together, once again, before I go back to work on Monday.

I haven't been out taking pictures much lately so this is one from the archives that I liked and thought would be fun to process. Had my D90 and my all in one 18-200 lens with me while I was walking the dogs last June. What a delight it is to have a place like this, not far from home, to walk the dogs, and get some exercise. Spring is on the way!

Happy New Year!!!

Did it look like this when the universe was created? :)

Or when a hard driver crashes?

The worst thing that could happen almost happen today; I was downloading some photos to my newly bought external hard driver when it suddenly stopped responding! I could access any files! I rebooted my computer in hope of mercy but now the computer didn't even find the hard disk! Damn I thought, I've lost all photos I had taken between December 25 until date, including these firework shots!! (I have made backups of everything else on another disc luckily ) I tried to unplug the power to the driver and, *pof*, it started working again! Woohoo! I did a quick backup so now I'm all set, don't now if I'll ever trust the disk thou..

Love is noise. The noise of pleasure and wounded flesh, the sounds of the impacient belly where your head rests, and the murmur of bus conversations over a long distance call. The hammering of blood in your brain trying to scream ‘always’ and ‘never’ at the same time.

And if love is noise, the opposite to love has to be silence. Maybe that is why, since Hector gave me that last kiss on the forehead, like a child who deserves no explanations, I hadn’t been able to unplug my earphones.
