La semana pasada vinieron mi madre y mi hermana de visita. Como mi hermana se cortó el pelo por primera vez en... no sé ni cuantos años (lo tenía por la mitad de la espalda o mas largo), decidí hacerle una sesión de fotos con la cámara de /naeros.
Qué guapa es la cabrona de ella xD Esta foto me gusta especialmente porque me esperé a que dejara de posar para que saliera to natural ella. No había forma de hacerla sonreír, así que mi madre y yo nos dedicábamos a decir imbecilidades xD
A ver cuándo vuelvo a pillarla para hacerle más sesiones, que nos lo pasamos muy bien :) Además, ponerme detrás de la cámara es... no sé, liberador xDDD

This was the photo that received the most comments on my photoblog last year and one of my most favorites. I even made a poster out of it. It was taken at the Terminal 1, Pearson Intl. airport in Toronto.
It is a huge water tank with plastic cubes floating inside. very few of them are red and black, all the other ones are white. I am still searching for the meaning of this "art project". :-)
But for now, I think it fits the theme "The heart of flickr" perfectly. Not only it is my most favorited picture posted on flickr, but the colors and the red cube is almost like an explosion of flickr's logo. Not that I would want it explode or anything, but after looking at this shot for almost 2 years, it finally made sense. Can you see it too?

The 394 is probably the most unique route in Hackney, as it doesn't follow the general trend and go through Clapton Square. It gets very busy and it could do with a frequency increase, but the roads it uses look very tight, so this is another route I look forward to completing.

Albi Cathedral is one of the most unique, awe-inspiring churches ever concieved, quite simply one of the wonders of the medieval world.
Although contemporary with the great gothic cathedrals of Northern France, this largely 13th century structure is radically different, being constructed almost entirely of brick and built like a mighty fortress; mostly unadorned walls rise uninterrupted from the ground like sheer cliff-faces of brick. The simplicity of the design gives it an almost modern appearance, and the massive scale gives it a quite overpowering presence.
The cathedral's powerful fortified appearance is largely down to two factors, the shape of the building is consistent with local forms of gothic churches in southern France and northern Spain, whilst the fortified solidity can be associated with the supression of the Cathars in this area during the Albigensian Crusades, the building serving a lesson in strength and permanence as a warning to any rebellious locals.
The plain exterior was relieved in the more stable climate of the 16th century by the huge flamboyant porch on the south side of the nave, more like an enormous spikey canopy open on three sides. It remains the main entrance to the cathedral, the base of the enormous tower being so massively constructed as to leave no room for a traditional west entrance.
On entering this vast edifice one's senses are overwhelmed yet again, this time by the profusion of decoration in the cavernous interior. The walls and ceilings are entirely covered by frescoes dating from the early 16th century (mostly in Renaissance style, much of it colourful geometric patterns. The most memorable sections are the earliest frescoes at the west end from an enormous Last Judgement; the central section was sadly removed in the 18th century but the extensive and graphic depiction of the torments of Hell remains.
In addition this cathedral is rare in preserving it's 'jube' or choir screen), a late medieval masterpiece of decoration and sculpture which extends into a lavishly sculpted choir enclosure adorned with a riot of angels and saints.
All in all this unforgettable cathedral is a monument that defies description alone and bombards the senses!

. The Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), our national bird, is the only eagle unique to North America. The Bald Eagle's scientific name signifies a sea (halo) eagle (aeetos) with a white (leukos) head. At one time, the word "bald" meant "white," not hairless. Bald eagles are found throughout most of North America, from Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico. About half of the world's 70,000 bald eagles live in Alaska. Combined with British Columbia's population of about 20,000, the northwest coast of North America is by far their greatest stronghold for bald eagles.
There are two subspecies of Bald Eagles. The "southern" Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus leucocephalus, is found in the Gulf States from Texas and Baja California across to South Carolina and Florida, south of 40 degrees north latitude. The "northern" Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus alascanus, is found north of 40 degrees north latitude across the entire continent. The largest numbers of northern bald eagles are in the Northwest, especially in Alaska. The "northern" Bald Eagle is slightly larger than the "southern" Bald Eagle. Studies have shown that "northern" Bald Eagles fly into the southern states and Mexico, and the "southern" Bald Eagles fly north into Canada. Because of these finding, the subspecies of "northern" and "southern" Bald Eagles has been discontinued in recent literature.

Unique use for logs from a recently downed tree. When I think of a log fence I normally think of the logs being horizontal not like this. Orem, Utah.

As I was out in our backyard setting up to capture a full moon image, I turned around and this view popped! Had fun playing with this capture! The edit I came up with is of our chiminea that we fire up quite often.
