CN 517 with a unique and fitting pairing. GTW 6224 lasting for awhile on the Belleville local has been sent to Toronto. An old veteran unit beginning life on the DT&I in 1975. Led by one of the CN Veterans units stepping into the very last bits of sunlight of a cold day.

🇬🇧 The warthog is a mammal found in the African savannahs, known for its unique appearance and intriguing behaviour. This animal is distinguished by its prominent tusks, rough skin and large ears. It belongs to the Suidae family and is often confused with wild boars, although it has its own distinct characteristics. The warthog lives in family groups known as herds, which can comprise between 4 and 16 individuals, mainly females and their young. Adult males become solitary at the age of two. It is active during the day. To forage, the warthog spends hours rooting around in the ground in search of roots, tubers and other delicacies.

A unique dimension that the beam of sunlight bought into the Canyon, a smoky soul. It is the falling sand that is shimmering in the sunlight.
One of my most favorite of places on earth! This one is from he upper Antelope Canyon.
I took the photography tour where you get more time and get to take a tripod with you. The canyon gets this beam of straight sunlight for a few minutes that makes the canyon a magical place to be at!
I can spend the whole week walking and taking pictures here (only if I don't have to earn a living!). Every curve gives you a unique perspective and every turn is an entirely different world!
Unique blackish ibis with wonderful iridescent plumage in adult birds. Has a bare red face and throat and long quills form a raggedy mane. Short legs do not project beyond the tail in flight. (Unlike Glossy Ibis). Breeds in colonies on cliff ledges in semidesert regions; forages in open dry habitats. Critically Endangered with most remaining birds in and around Tamri, coastal Morocco; migratory eastern populations in Syria and Turkey all but extinct.
Historically bred in central and southern Europe. This photo is of a re-introduced and sedentary free flying breeding colony around Barbate, Cadiz Province, Andalucia, southern Spain.

On a foggy December morning in 2025, I was there in time to photograph the rising sun between 'my' trees. When one of three mighty oak trees fell victim to a storm a few years ago, I was sad. But now the gap creates a special accent and the remaining two trees form a perfect photo frame.

Unique, chunky finch. Note the massive bill (steely gray in summer, pinkish in winter) and blue-gray hindneck, like a shawl on an orangey head. Broad white tail tip and white wing band show mainly in flight. Despite distinctive appearance, shy and easily overlooked. Favors mixed and deciduous mature woodland, especially with beech, oak, and hornbeam, where tends to feed and perch quietly, high in the canopy. Also feeds on the ground in autumn and winter, sometimes forming single-species flocks. Gives high-pitched “tsik!” and lower ticking calls.
After reading about a unique waterfall located within what was described as a slot canyon less than 90 minutes from home, I knew I had to see it for myself.
Directions ended with: "At the end of the trail, follow the manway (unofficial trail) up, around the first waterfall, climb a small rock wall, and hike the remainder of the way to the next falls in the streambed". This translated into: Geezers like me will be sore the next day and will need to make an offering of a full dose of Ibuprofen to the trail gods.
Bailey Falls is located near Greeneville, TN in Cherokee National Forest, past Margarette Falls on the West Fork Dry Creek and is further divided into an upper and lower falls. The lower falls are shown here, with the top of the upper falls visible here as the first drop. The Lower Falls are 20 feet in height and the canyon section surrounding the plunge pool being perhaps 8 feet in width. With the rhododendrons overhanging the canyon from both sides it had a cave-like appearance. What it lacks in size it makes up for in beauty. There is only here. There is only now, and it is good. Off Trail Zen.

Well I bought a space suit etc and then found this sim... and decided it spoke for itself. It's truly amazing... play with the windlights in here, but honestly, the ones they have are perfect. The shadow play in on this sim is stunning... HAVE FUN!!
