The Unique Salt Marshes of North Norfolk..North Norfolk is well known for its unique landscape of mudflats and saltmarshes. Norfolk’s mudflats are largely concentrated in the Wash and saltmarshes are found along the north coast of the county between Holme and Salthouse. These areas are not only known for their breathtaking beauty but also for a place to see some of the best wildlife. Throughout the year, the scenery transforms and there is always something new to enjoy, from migrating birds to an array of plant life

Waiotapu (Māori for "sacred waters") is an active geothermal area at the southern end of the Okataina Volcanic Centre, just north of the Reporoa caldera, in New Zealand's Taupo Volcanic Zone. It is 27 kilometres south of Rotorua.

Due to dramatic geothermal conditions beneath the earth, the area has many hot springs noted for their colourful appearance. The geothermal area covers 18 square kilometres.

Three fall leaves.

The landscape along the river is ever-changing and an ecosystem unique to itself. Between the river and the tree-line of the forest is a different world than either. This is where the River Oats flourish and fallen trees are absorbed back into the soil.

This photo I took when a light rain fell from the sky and in fact you can see small drops on the dandelion. The picture in black and white, in my opinion, is much more beautiful than the color so that you can see the white dandelion better!

One of my favorite photos... and a very unique pose for an owl...

this Great Gray, had flown over to a fence post that was only about 25 feet from where I was standing, and then while looking directly at me, proceed to stretch by raising his wings well above his head.

in all my years, of taking pictures of owls, I have only ever seen this behaviour twice, the other time being with a Great Horned Owl.
