A battle for glory -- #UASCS Men's JV and Varsity basketball teams played against the #SASCS teams in the first annual SANY Superintendent's game on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. The #SASAtoms finished first after a close JV game. The Varsity game went into overtime, and in the final moments #UASCS snagged the first annual title and trophy. The trophy will stay with the #UASAtoms until the 2019 rematch.

Sailing on the River Elbe can get a little busy sometimes. These two huge container ships Ever Smile and UASC Yabu passed one another just down river from Hamburg Yachthafen. The wakes from both ships made us feel somewhat small in our 25ft Folkboat!!

Sailing under the Bahrain flag, Al Manamah was built in 2008 with a GTW 75579. Her overall length is 306m with the extreme breadth being 40.05m. Seen in La Spezia, Italy with this photo being taken from the port side of P&O Cruises Azura - IMO: 9424883, on 29/07/2016, while awaiting departure for Monaco, a short hop of 120 nautical miles according to www.sea-distances.org.
The 3,100 passenger Azura had already called at Gibraltar on 25/07/2016, Ajaccio, Corsica on 27/07 and Civitavecchia on 28/07 having departed from the Mayflower Terminal, Southampton, on 22/07/2016, for a 14-night Western Med. Cruise; Southampton - Gibraltar - Ajaccio, Corsica, France - Civitavecchia(Port of Rome), Italy - La Spezia, Italy - Monte Carlo, Monaco - Marseilles, France - Cadiz, Spain - Southampton. A total distance of 2,231 nautical miles so far. La Spezia is starting to be used for visiting Florence and Pisa.
