Two gum nuts each about 7mm in diameter found nestling in the leaf litter.
Taken by a Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4 with extension tubes and a Pentax K1.
These two houses are about the same age , examples from the early 20th century and contrast with the ruined house at Booral ..
The house this side with its colourful front garden was designed by Grafton's then prominent city architect FWC Schaeffer . Its adjoining two story neighbour , Clarence House was originally a private hospital . Both houses are in good to fine condition .

I had absolutely no imagination to name this picture. Nevertheless, this 458 Spider spec is really stunning, with the red interior and the black carbon between the two tail lights !

A Red-bellied Woodpecker and a Northern Cardinal share the space at the feeding station just outside my window.
- when i picked up some pears at the roadside ( cycle parked alongside ) red admiral landed on my jacket

- colours were difficult to reproduce, i changed white balance from awb to sunlight

Aurizon Clyde unit 42103 and Qube Alco 4498 remain stored waiting on a decision for thier future at the Goulburn Workshops, only just down the road from where the Streamliners 2016 event was being held on 2-10-2016.
42103 entered service on 15-2-1966 ad stored on 25-4-1990.
In early 1991 it was reactivated by Northern Rivers Railroad before passing into QR National ownership before being stored again
4498 was scrapped on 21-3-22 at Goulburn

A Fiery-throated Hummingbird feeds at a flower while a Talamanca Hummingbird zooms in for a look.
Taken at Batsu Gardens up the hill from Savegre Hotel in San Gerardo de Dota. This was an amazing place to photograph hummingbirds. We spent a few hours there and I took hundreds of images.

For what may be the last weekend you'll ever see two Vulcan Bombers together at RAF Waddington, XM607, the 'gate guardian' is first in line, then the only air worthy Vulcan XH558 sits behind, waiting for the weekend display schedule for the 2014 RAF Waddington Airshow in Lincolnshire. The 2015 show is not going ahead as the runways are being relaid and it won't be completed in time for when the airshow is due.
So the next airshow is scheduled for 2016 and by then XH558 will also no longer be flying - probably.
Not just two beauties together, but I meant - 2 photos from a single shot: a close 'zoom-in', and a 'wideangle' - both from the long-ish 55mm end of the kit zoom. Even the 'wideangle' is cropped, 55mm is actually wider (see SooC) but I gave it some spherical distortion for that 'wide' look. As usual, I experimented with different corrections and processing for each one. What do you think?

A three shot composite captured from the platform on the lake with a 600 mm lens, so there's plenty of detail in this image..
These are rebuilds of 60002 Fire Truck and 60107 Fire Ladder Truck, to make them a matching set. I'm a fan of all the official fire sets -- I just can't help tinkering with them.
