A great looking two-tone VW Beetle at the gathering at Elsham Hall not that far from Scunthorpe this weekend. There's a lot of hanging around at these events - waiting for people to move out the way while you're taking photos. I know that sounds cheeky, but I'm only at these events for photos.....afterall, it's what I do.
Sambrook's Brewery is based in Battersea, South London, nestled between the River Wandle and Battersea Power Station. Sambrook's use the finest ingredients to create hand crafted ales.
Wandle (4.2%) is named after the Thame tributary flowing through South West London and is the brewery's flagship beer first brewed in 2008.
Brewed using only English malt & hops, this golden amber ale is extremely quaffable and an ideal accompaniment to light dishes such as fish or chicken.

This should cool everyone off just a bit on such a hot summer day(s)! Amtrak No. 8, the Empire Builder, crosses the infamous Two Medicine Bridge at East Glacier, Montana, surrounded by the stark beauty of a winter wonderland on March 3, 1989. It was so cold on this trip that a six-pack of Dr. Pepper froze overnight on the floor behind the front seats of the rental car. We didn’t realize it until one of the cans blew up and sent brown slush everywhere. We got rid of the rest of those “Dr. Pepper grenades” as soon as we could . . . ah, the joys of photographing trains in winter.
Two of the Royal Life Guards. It appears that the one facing outward is a female member of the guards; in 1999 women were first entered into the regiment. I was wondering what was being said as this guard facing us is smiling!

☞ "A brilliant clarity of autumnal copper reveals the toasted, full character of the finest continental malt and crisp finish of noble hops.
☞ Me: Not "brilliantly" clear, but a well-executed lager nonetheless, expressing lightly toasted crackers, an elegant (not fruity) sweet middle, and, indeed, a crisp finish.

We just had to get a few shots in with some of the girls when we visited Hooter's during our recent Tour de Force!
I had Cindy take a couple of pix of me over the weekend when we were out for our 2nd annual Tour de Force! This is at our 2nd stop, the Hooter's in Chantilly, VA. I have to thank Cindy for getting the gang together for another great time!
