Day Forty Two 2-9-11
"You lie through your teeth. You won't let me down, you lie, I deserve better than this," Silverstein. I hate homework. I hate working with a passion, especially math. AP Chemistry = Math, and I do not understand any of this new homework we were given, ugh. Probably my fault, I should have payed more attention in class, but I did thank good notes. :/ Hmmm ahh well. We'll see how it goes tomorrow, thank goodness there is no quiz this week, nor is there a test!
Two lone hunters successfully stalked and trapped a Christmas tree this year. It was touch and go, the wile evergreen knew it was open season at Flyaway Farm, could smell the suburban predators as they exited their antique front-wheel drive Saturn. It knew its best chance was to lay low and use the freshly fallen snow for cover, using the natural winter camouflage against those denizens of the suburban flatlands known as Ohio. Fate, lo, was unkind to this wee ent, and its connection to the earth was swiftly severed with the sharp forged iron weapons the hunters had brought with them. Soon, it was bound tightly and dragged into a wagon, a station wagon, and driven away from its ancestral home. No more birds would nest in its arms, no more spring rains would trickle through its needles. Defeated, it whispered final supplications to its druidic gods, in hope its spirit, though conquered, would be received by Mother Earth in the bye and bye. At peace with its fate, the tree felt satisfaction knowing that soon, soon, the hunters would realize the story would end with a twist, a very knotty twist, as they struggled with saw and stand, to mount their trophy and brag to the world of their conifer-killing exploit.

This is a creation that is located in the OutroMundo, a universe created by me.
Vehicle of the XVIII DD century, was built primarily to actions of piracy and to attack other flying vessels. In the age of Gas Calx declining, Tempestas Volatilis was converted into a smuggling vehicle, exploiting the characteristics of great power of speed and maneuver.
Tempestas's measures are:
About 93 studs in length;
About 18 studs wide (without sails);
About 24 bricks high (without sails);
Some features:
Front blade to attack;
Two Gas Calx's containers with respective stabilizers;
Two cannons with two windows on each side of the ship;
4 sails of great maneuverable;
Sailing rudder
5 interior rooms.

Well, folks, this is going way WAY back. Both of these bridges across the Reversing Falls gorge are long-gone. At left is the 1880s-era railroad bridge, which was replaced in the 1920s by the bridge presently serving that function. At right is the suspension bridge, built in the 1850s. It was replaced during the First World War by the current steel-arch Reversing Falls bridge (which was built in between where the two older bridges stood). Interestingly, the piers of both the suspension bridge and the old railroad bridge are still visible.

The two different colors of the rays of sun were really cool. This shot will probably look a little too dark on Flickr, but thats because I increased the contrast by about 60% to emphasize the rays.
