These ants keep turning up in the middle of the floor, are always dead or dying, and I can't tell where they're coming from. They might be carpenter ants, which is very worrisome.
The HSB Turning Torso in Malmö, Sweden by artist architect Santiago Calatrava. As most of Calatravas architecture a very fascinating building. A pitty its surrounding is quite a wasteland.
Some facts:
- Completed in 2005 after 4.5 years of construction.
- 190 meters high with 54 floors (highest of Scandinavia)
- 90 degree of twist from groundfloor to the top.

well, the newly established international explorers club took to the road on saturday last, crossing the mighty öresund to suss out the turning torso, among other things.
of course, the explorers never limit their search for new experiences to mere skyscrapers or ordinary tourist attractions. however, today's inaugural event did call for an investigation of the new tower due to its unusual design.
later, the journey moved onwards to lund, then back to malmö for libations and exquisite dining.

The Japanese War Memorial in remembrance of the men who died in the Battle of Imphal, March-July 1944.
The Battle of Imphal Tours in their Tiddim Road tour describes it as "one of the main turning-point battles of the entire war. It was at Imphal/Kohima that the Japanese march across Asia was halted by Allied forces."
The Japanese War Memorial, also known as the India Peace Memorial, lies at the base of Red Hill, the site of fierce fighting between Indian & British forces and the Japanese army in May 1944. The memorial comprises two concrete wall-like structures tracing a zigzag line separated by three large roughly hewn boulders signifying drops of blood at the head of the memorial.
I tend to post soybean pix in early October. But usually they've turned brown, and are ready to harvest. Last spring's foul weather has messed up the schedules.

HSB Turning Torso is the tallest skyscraper in Sweden and the Nordic countries, situated in Malmö, Sweden. It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and officially opened on 27 August 2005. The tower reaches a height of 190 metres (623 feet) with 54 stories.

I should've taken a video, but check this picture and the next one out. It's wings were constantly turning Green and Purple as it was opening it's wings !

This is my take on the turning Twenty pattern. I didn't have a copy of the pattern when I cut this so I took a wild guess and it worked! The two main fabrics are Heather Ross "puss and Owl" and the moon faces. The photo isn't the greatest because my sewing room is in the basement with no natural light. The colours aren't that garish IRL.
