Our pretty 'Goldfinch' rambling rose. It's doing very well this year with masses of blooms.

Another from this morning's misty dog walk. Petzval lens, Bokeh Control at 1.
I really wanted these three as a triptych, as I feel there's a form of visual narrative between them. They were also taken very close together.
Nikon Z6, Petzval 55 f/1.7 MK II
I also used a cool little script (that I've used before) called Tych_panel - github.com/reimund/Tych-Panel - which is very handy.

Ilford HP5 Plus 120 400
Received a modern/retro light meter this week off Amazon, just trying it out on an old 35mm SLR so may have some results when I get round to finishing 36 frames!
I found this tiny critter on my stone path during a yard safari at the beginning of October, during my Day of Great Spider Sightings in the yard. It was only a couple of millimeters long, and I only noticed it because I was already down low looking at another jumper in some plant stems. To take these photos, I was down on knees and elbows. And then I was afraid to walk in the yard, knowing such tiny wonders are around! How many things do I crush on my morning walk to the car?? I can't think about it - I'd never go anywhere. o_O

Sandor NAGY, 1924, oil on canvas triptych, Gödöllő premostratiensian Abbey
Sándor Nagy's monumental pano was made in 1924 for the ceiling of the main staircase of the newly built Premontrian High School in Gödöllő. The painting went into hiding for many decades after the nationalisation of 1950, and was rediscovered in 2019 by the museologists of the Budapest Historical Museum's Municipal Picture Gallery. The symbolism of the work is unique: it depicts the Milky Way, or as the Szeklers called it, the Way of the Wars. In the starry sky, the rulers of bygone ages gallop at the head of their armies, and together they rush to the aid of their troubled homeland.

Three Tree Triptych - now I want you to say that 10 times quickly!
A walk in my local park had me gazing at all the colours and textures of the various tree barks. These were taken in just a few metres of each other.

Dicyrtomina ornata
This was quite a tough subject to shoot. It was on the side of a bench which would have been ideal if it was closer to the edge. As it was, it was too far back for me to get a good low angle, and I had to shoot at much lower magnification than I would have liked to allow enough working distance to focus correctly. As a result these are quite heavy crops.
I could also have closed down my aperture a bit more to increase depth of field as light isn't such an issue at lower magnification. Typically it was too late before I realised this.
Anyway, it was quite a poser so thought it worth presenting as a series. In the right hand frame you can see it raising up. It does this a few times, waving it's legs in the air before it releases it's spring. Sure enough this was the last frame I captured before it disappeared.
Single images @ 3-4X magnification.
I awoke just as the day was dawning and was greeted by this glorious sunrise from my landing window.

When I got up this morning the moon was still visible but kept disappearing behind the passing clouds.
I waited for them to pass and captured it through the silver birch leaves and in the dawn sky
Surprised to win our triptych competition last night
All double exposures blended and blue toned in places
