A few more ice abstracts from New Year's Eve .... it's grey, windy and wet now, so I'm looking back a week or two to brighter days.

Three images captured as I walked along the shoreline at low tide early morning.

The first was a couple with a toddler playing in the sand, the second two couples with dogs and the third, a three generation family building a sandcastle.

I deliberately left the horizon decending in the images as I wanted to keep the silhouettes a similar size

We saw so many seals that day, it was almost high tide and they were gathering on the beach with their pups, you can see some of them suckling.

Happy Smile on Saturday

Three photos taken on the beach in my hometown.

Took quite a few photos of this blossom today, on the dog walk. Felt a triptych was a nice way of presenting them.

Once again, Tych-Panel ( github.com/reimund/Tych-Panel ) allowed me to make this easily :)

# shot on film lomography

A triptych of three of my older shots of bottles found while diving.

A view of Grays Lake in Des Moines displayed as a triptych. It's not quite a full panoramic view, there's little missing in between the frames.

Developed using Darktable 3.6.0. Framed in Photoshop.

Late fall, late afternoon, sunrays fencing with shadows down the length of Granville Mall, Vancouver.

The waves and seaside at Point Lonsdale. A triptych of the beauty of watching the sun go down over the restless Bass Strait. HSoS

I can't lie. I did not have to go far to find these first-of-the-season wild California Poppies, in my front yard. They are right on time, mid-February every year, and generally guaranteed for Valentine's Day. The bloom in the center is just starting to unfurl and bust through its "cap", and the other two did so just hours before. They never really fully opened today though because it was cold and windy and they are not stupid. 😊💕

Smile on Saturday and "triptych"

This topic gave me the idea for a gentle watercolor triptych, although I would also like to print this one and keep it on the wall.

I thought that these three 'Reimaginings', two of which I haven't shown on Flickr before, look quite good together.

‘Reimaginings’ are my square-cropped images taken of marks, weathered paint, and rust seen by me in the urban environment which appeal to me as abstract shapes and forms. Some of these photographs are segments of faded and much repainted and over-painted graffiti surfaces, paint spills and general weathering.
