I have become obsessed with triptychs and diptychs lately. There is something about the process of combining different images along with cropping images to different formats that just fascinates me. If you haven't tried working with these, I encourage you to give it a try. It's a whole new way of seeing!
This is the first of a short series - the same images cropped and displayed in different formats. I hope you enjoy them!

Kreative People August Contest: FLORAL DREAMS
I posted an image of this building last year when they were still working on it showing parts of the building that had not been clad yet. Well, I returned a few weeks back to find it still wasn't finished, although by now its clear they are in the very final stages of construction. The striking thing about the building, actually buildingS as there are three of them - hence triptych, are those wavy balconies. Anytime one is photographing architecture and the building has this kind of flowing detail then its usually a good subject for a shot.

He spotted - he chased - he got busy with his proposal!
I saw these two Scarlet Tanagers flying around courting and sparking so I tracked them the best I could to catch their romance.
This is the second in the series. Same images, different format/crop.
Thank you all so much for all the lovely comments on the first one. You give me courage to keep on exploring new things! :)

a synthesis is simply a summary ...
;-) ...
was denkt ihr ?

Mt. Baker & fields in Abbotsford, B.C. framed by what used to be, I presume, a sign! The ribbon of vermillion in the left panel are the autumn colours of a blueberry field.
Something a lot different from my previous artwork of yesterday as I'm trying not to get into too much of an artistic rut! (although you'd never think so, judging by the number of mannequin artworks I often upload!! :-) Haven't a clue what style my next one will be! :-)

~~~~~~Pano Vision ~ "PANO to the Metal" Contest~~~~~
Part of the Contest brief says, ''For this one we want you to go as FAR AS YOU CAN'', and as you can see from the original photo I took of a clock in the first comment box below, this pano-sabotage artwork has been taken to the max! Multi-layered, recoloured, many different filters used etc etc.
Details of three trees in a park where I go on walks. Each image processed in Nik Color Efex Pro 5. Triptych created in Photoshop.
I took several pictures of the leafless trees, but I couldn't keep my eyes off the twisty figures they created. I think these three belong together, and the sepia tones create the perfect background for them.
