I took several pictures of the leafless trees, but I couldn't keep my eyes off the twisty figures they created. I think these three belong together, and the sepia tones create the perfect background for them.

Three vertical views showing of the details there along the north rim of the Grand Canyon. It was nice being there on this moody day. May get back to the north rim soon ... it will be interesting to see what mother nature tosses my way this time.
Three photos of widow skimmer dragonflies over the years. And why does it have that name? Unlike other dragonfly species, where males protect egg-laying females, male widow skimmer dragonflies leave the female alone, letting her lay her eggs just below the water's surface.

I am new in Photoshop and I wanted to show my husband what it looks like if we would hang these three photos at our wall at the kitchen table. So with a little bit of help of a DIY Photoshop movie I have made this triptych. My hubby was enthusiastic. I hope you are too.

...I spent ages watching these spawning frogs. I'm not sure if frog-watching is deemed to be an 'essential activity', but it seems to be to me, so I risked it, and tarried a while by the deserted pond.
