Had a long overdue macro day, this morning. Any of the Blue or Green Triangles can make my day, as well as the related Swallowtails, Birdwings and Swordtails.

My son Sam and his sister, Emma, joined me over a long weekend roadtrip to the north end of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Along the way, they both came up with triangle ideas and suggestions. But on our only good weather night I happened to be on Shi Shi Beach. Some of these sea stacks screamed TRIANGLE to me. Of course, the nice sunset doesn't hurt. LOL.
Here's Mikul's triangle photo. And please don't fall for his charm or underdog demeanour. He has tons of contacts and his photos get many, many views. Why? - because he has great skill at taking and processing images. I'm lucky to have him as a Flickr friend.

I suspect the view of the Grand Tetons is totally unappreciated by the horses pastured here. The rail fence, in addition to being delightfully retro in a barbed wire world, is typically used when wood rails are plentiful and post holes are difficult to dig.
Another glacial lagoon in Iceland - I love the shape of the mountains behind, and there's always some triangular icebergs in the foreground to mirror the shapes.

This little park in Sigtuna -- marketed as the oldest town in Sweden, dating back to year 980 -- is called Trekanten. I suppose it should be translated "the triangle", but "threesome" is equally plausible.
it's often a good idea to move some part of a pattern to the other side of the paper. I did so with the recent triangle trios pattern. now you have two very interesting sides.
this is actually a test fold where I was tryingto find a nice closure of the edges of the pattern. in the extended version there will even be some more triangles that are hidden right now :-)
this was (obviously?) folded from a rather triangularish sheet of paper.

I initially wanted to make 30 unit one, but it seems it won't be stable without glue... :( Or probably I need to have harder, thicker paper.
So all I can do is make 12 units. Or stars. Stars look very pretty and are very stable.
