A lone runner traversing the frozen Chicago lakefront. This past Saturday was slightly 'warmer' and the sky was clear so in between running errands, I went to the lake to take a few photos. The tracks that you see on the snow were a result of me running back (and forth) to my car in order to warm up. This happened a few times. Brrr :D
Grand Traverse Light is a lighthouse in the U.S. state of Michigan, located at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, which separates Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay. It marks the Manitou passage, where Lake Michigan elides into Grand Traverse Bay.
I was able to ride Syncline, which affords incredible views of the Columbia River Gorge to the east. Doesn't look like it, but we finally got rain this week throughout Oregon, which should limit the wildfires and return air quality for most folks. It's been a terrible fire season, but we still find our moments to enjoy the scenic bounty.
