Wading into the water yields this view of Chicago & North Western’s Janesville to Chicago freight crossing Tiffany Bridge over Turtle Creek at Tiffany, Wisconsin, on the morning of July 1, 1995. The eastbound train is led by a pair of C&NW EMD SD40-2s in two yellow flavors.

I really like the output from the tiny Cassar 50mm - should use it more often but the need for speed takes me more often than it probably should! The lens has the capability of resolving fine detail wide open whilst also being quite low contrast so shots can appear a little soft, kind of 'organic' and leave plenty of headroom for PP. It produces 'soap bubble bokeh' in certain scenarios but can also give smooth backgrounds. Despite having a very small front element it can be very flare prone, as you can see here :-) It's an interesting alternative to the usual suspects if speed isn't a priority.
