There is a lot of information ranging from different types of fungus to the life of an otter. Along the tree top excursion you can continually be educated about the surrounding environment. Ground trails are well maintained and are clearly marked when trails outside of the center intersect them. The parking lot is spacious and hard topped; easy to traverse.
Je suis assis dans l'herbe grasse de montagne, quand tout à coup, un nuage de fumée s'élève de la crête en face de moi... Je prends brusquement mes jumelles pour trouver le coupable de cette mystérieuse montée de poussière... Ce sont une bonne centaine de biches qui traverse le col pour se cacher dans la forêt! Incroyable! Au fur et à mesure que les premières avancent, d'autres apparaissent en contraste dans le ciel. Je profite de la pause d'une petite partie de la troupe pour faire quelques photos...
Grand Traverse Lighthouse, built in 1858 and automated in 1972 marks the entrance to Grand Traverse Bay. There were many additions to the building, including making it a two-family residence in 1900.

L'enfilade des ponts d'Angers, vue depuis les remparts du châteaux, offre un superbe spectacle. Je suis arrivé là un peu part hasard, porté par mes pas et attiré par la journée portes ouvertes du monument. Ce fut l’occasion de redécouvrir ce chef d’œuvre et ses incroyables tapisseries de l'apocalypse mais aussi de tester mon nouveau K3-3 monochrome.

Nong-Khaï (Thaïlande) - Les deux embarcations à moteur viennent de charger des marchandises sur l’embarcadère situé sur la rive en territoire thaïlandais. Ils vont livrer leur chargement au Laos qui se trouve en face.
La scène était assez insipide d’autant que je ne bénéficiais pas d’une belle lumière. Alors je suis revenu à plusieurs reprises et j’ai longé la rive pour tenter de trouver un premier plan qui donne un peu plus de relief à la photo. J'ai finalement aperçu cette petite barque de pêcheurs à la ligne qui correspondait à peu près à ce que je cherchais. Sans cette forme géographique formée par les trois embarcations, cette photo n’aurait eu aucun intérêt.
Crossing the Mekong
Nong-Khaï (Thaïlande) - The two motor boats have just loaded goods on the pier located on the shore in Thai territory. They will deliver their cargo to Laos which is opposite.
The scene was pretty bland, especially since I didn't have the good light. So I came back several times and walked along the shore to try to find a foreground that would give the photo a little more depth.
I finally saw this little boat anglers who corresponded roughly to what I was looking for.
Without this geographical shape formed by the three boats this photo would have been of no interest.
