A sunny late afternoon with the light behind me, crouched under their birch trees - the "almost golden hour" sun really brought out his colors & iridescence; doubled my shutter speed & got a good look at his translucent wings (70-90 bps)!

In the curve of crystal’s hold,
light drifts through a molten gold,.
Each swirl—
a whisper of oak and flame,
half dream, half smoke—
slipping through the glass like a ghost with no name.
Exploring layering flowers in watercolour. Another work in progress I may just ruin with the next layer or 3 >_<

Macro Mondays - theme: "Translucent"
As I walked around the park the swan family were resting on the grass and grooming, with a large feather right beside the female (pen).
The feather was too close to the swan, so I walked around the lake and when I came back they were just getting up and entering the lake.
This gave me the opportunity for the shot ....

Another tiny Mycena mushroom growing on the moss covered branch of a tree. With the day being wet and overcast there was only dim light under the tree cover. We are seeing some Bioluminescence here, like something from the deep oceans. (Thank you Wikipedia...)
