Usually, Roses are red
But this Rose is blue
And this unique one
Is only glowing for You
Although ...
This BLUE-tifulness
Is not genuine, I guess

Only a few weeks before it's... tulip time again :) Hooray! As a teaser, here's a sunny tulip from 2019 which I've photographed at the Tulipan flower show at the Britzer Garten, Berlin's most beautiful public park. The lens responsible for this crazy bokeh is my vintage OM Zuiko Auto-S 50mm F1.4 lens. Judging from the "wild" bokeh shapes I must have taken this wide open. Stopped down a little, the bokeh becomes a tad more civilized before the bokeh balls turn into nice-looking "diamonds" at around F4.
Over the past few years, I have collected so many tulip photos from Britz alone that one might say it's enough for a lifetime, but on the other hand, you can't ever photograph too many flowers, tulips included, can you? Right :) So will I visit this year's Tulipan? You bet I will ;)
Have a nice spring (or autumn) week ahead, dear Flickr friends!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today we have a red day at Color My World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is : Translucent.
This is a perfect theme for another one of my obsessions : glass marbles ! So yes, another glass marble picture for today. This time I used my favorite light, my iPhone flashlight but I put the marble directly on a flick light (I put my red background with a hole in it and then I put the marble on). My younger son Borys (he is 10) was truly mesmerized by the result. We spent the whole evening looking through glass marbles and taking pictures of the tiny and unique universes each one of them contains. It was an exploration of parallel universes for both of us lol
This glass marble is about 1,5 cm of diameter and it was our favorite one. Borys was ready to move in inside the glass marble right away and me too !
I hope you like my picture as much as we did !! I wish you all an amazing day and see you later my friends !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr !!
A collection of glass we have collected from various beaches that has been smoothed and pitted by the sea.

Thank you for your nice comments and the numerous asterisks, which I am very happy about.
Vielen Dank für eure netten Kommentare und die zahlreichen Sternchen, über die ich mich sehr freue.
The name porcelain mushroom is revealing. The hat is smooth and slimy, making it shine like porcelain. The often completely white mushroom is a striking appearance in the beech forest. It is a fairly large mushroom with a translucent cap up to 10 cm wide.

I wish you a very happy weekend, stay warm and be well!
Light through the translucent wings of the Common Mormon (papilio polytes), a vibrant female butterfly. Fragile and quite beautiful.
I too often forget that people across the politcal spectrum often give to common causes. If only that overlap of translucent hearts would be enough for redemption, for healing, for a solidification.
This photo is of a gemstone shaped heart back lit with a pen light on white acrylic giving the blue glaring line, the contrasting colors and the cross shape.

A mushroom with two common names, it is also known as the Poached Egg fungus. Very common, edible after washing to remove gluten. I've tried these and they're not worth the effort.
This photo has been uploaded for enjoyment of the image not to aid in identification. Picking wild mushrooms to eat without expert knowledge will probably result in you dying.
